As a big Terre d'Hermes fan I was intrigued by this and thought as it's cheap it would be worth a punt.
it also has some kind of musty pleasant aspect that may put some people off. but give it a couple minutes and that turns sweet and soft. kinda like opening a very old book. it's dusty dirty but you kinda find that smell delightful for some strange reason. When I first used this it was summertime and I lost the bottle before winter came. Had I used this in slightly colder weather it would be great, really meant for spring/fall (anything under like 70 degrees) in my opinion.Blind bought it. Not everything that shines is gold, and not everything that smells of bitter orange is Terre d'Hermes. I really used about 10-15 sprays of this and the longevity was good for 8 hours on me. Not sure if others could smell it though. It would seem so. Sillage: 7.0 (3~4 feet for 2 1/2 hours with 3 sprays on cold weather; average projection for 2 hours); practical skin scent till the 7th hour. With a little elementary mathamagic, I find that for the price of my bottle of Green Irish Tweed, I could have bought around twelve bottles of this stuff. And I'd probably go through them all before I finished the Creed. This stuff is pure magic on me. I didn't smell any top notes on this and that's my main concern and why I did that. I figured once it dried down that would be it, but no.
orangey, earthy and if you dont like this scent then just wait 2hrs. and it will be completely gone.i have been sniffing this and my lips are all covered in it's base oil.not even a skin scent really.This perfume reminds me of another one that I had in my collection. I tried to figure out which one for several days. To my nose this fragrance smells similar to JPG kokoriko. Does anyone else feel the same? Absolute must-have cheapie if you like Encre Noir, campfires, and sharp citrus all playing together. EDIT: I wrote the initial review before I knew anything about fragrance, and even now I'm still a newbie, so take everything with a grain of salt... A fragrance by itself.Totally masculine,unique ,peppery and long lasting without being headache inducing. I really wanted to get all the "Touch" series because of it's low cost and good reputation. The Oud is way way stronger than this, by the way, but I guess not something I'm that interested in. This didn't blow me away and the fact the cap sits loose on it is kind-of the deal breaker.

Nevertheless, this dark-ish smoky vanilla/flowers/vetiver/bitter orange/patchouli combo is unique, and well done. One can really smell most of the ingredients during the evolution of the drydown. Performance on my skin is really good - 3 hours of projection and I can still smell it on my skin 10 hours after applying. A luxurious, manly, dual-dimensional, spicy citrus perfume which is a doppleganger of Terre D Hermes, yet adds a dark, sexy, nightime twist to create a great scent...Lasts forever! Put a spray on each wrist around 1300 today...I can still smell it strong at 1820 this evening. Final thought. I could have saved my money and just bought a bottle of the far better performing Terre instead of these cheaper alternatives, but this hobby is partly about having a bit of fun with these frags too. The anticipation and excitement of potentially receiving your "Holy Grail" through the post is addictive. I am very disappointed, the scent is just that, but on me this is exceptionally weak, barely more scent than plain alcohol, or even just water. There is a slight spice and vetiver accord, but it becomes a skin scent immediately (like within 10 minutes) and dissappeard compleatly after a half hour or so.... Although dark, earthy, dusty/musky, it is not a beast mode scent. It projects half an arm's length for 1 hour and then stays close to the skin for 6 or so hours. It is discrete but still not a casual or every day scent in my opinion. One to ponder...as I had very high hopes for it, although it didn't fully disappoint. I simply found myself wanting something "more". Still a solid bottle, especially for the price. Synthetic, of course, and not something I see wearing often as it is already collecting dust. In the end, it just doesn't do anything 'special'...for me.
