Aspivenin Anti-Venom Pump is mini suction pump that allows you to extract in a painless way all venoms injected by insects (wasps, bees, horseflies, hornets ...), arachnids (spiders, scorpions, chiggers ...), fish (stone fish ...) and some stinging plants. This patented medical device (class 1) is a product manufactured in France that won the Lépine competition in 1983. Frenchman André Emerit, a lifelong inventor who had entered and won a competition to make a mini-pump. He died in 1997, aged of 85, and his son Michael is said to have had a hand in getting the Aspivenin into commercial production as a medical aid. The histaminic reaction appears as a rash, generally followed by swelling and accompanied by a more or less intense itching. Allergic consequences are sometimes serious simple to use. It does not seem to be advertised widely any where. I found out from my friend and then searched the internet. My advice...........get one especially if you travel abroad. I have rated it 5 stars. Then lift the plunger button from the tip of the thumb to remove the Aspivenin pump. We advise you to handle your pump before using it by consulting the manual. We also advise you to keep it handy if you are in a risky environment.Lift the plunger with the end of your thumb to release the pressure and wipe the wound clean with antiseptic. Loosely place the tip that best fits the type and location of the sting or bite and then arm the pump by pulling the plunger fully (half for a child).
