Questo non è un romanzo facile e certo non racconta una storia di cui ci si innamori a prima vista, una di quelle storie che ti fanno galoppare il cuore fin dall'inizio. Diciamo che richiede pazienza per poter essere poi premiati. I was looking forward to reading this, but it wasn't what I was expecting. It is a bittersweet read. There are captivating, intricate characters who feel totally real... but it is also full of grief and longing and heart-wrenching mistakes. It is beautifully written with lots of poignant lines that make you pause and think. However I feel guilty recommending this kind of book because it's not a happy, light-hearted read. It is raw, gritty and real. It's like a grey, rainy day, but when you're safe indoors. This isn’t your typical love story. It is gut wrenching, sad, painful and honest. The characters are brought to life in a way that will leave you rooting for them. A touching tale about female friendship [and] finding strength when you need it most' GRAZIA It was so beautifully written. The prose was lyrical and poetic in places without distracting from the narrative. There was a real warmth and wisdom to the story and it really tugged on my heart strings.This book is so different to the normal types I read, and some of these gambles havnt paid off at all for me, but this book is actually really hard to put into words about how good it was. I don't want to give too much away because everyone just needs to read it. The development of each character is fantastic and you know them and their personalities inside out. It seemed to take me a while to read, but it was becasiw I felt like I wanted to take everything in, rather than wanting to rush to the end like I do in my normal thriller books. Sono quattrocento pagine che vanno lette sino in fondo, proprio perché il finale è la somma di tutto ciò che è stato. E, a intervalli, troverete dei bellissimi sprazzi di poesia.
