About this deal

This pair of cycling gloves are made from lightweight fabric blend made of polyester, spandex, and nylon. The fabrics are made windproof and double waterproof so it can keep your hands dry, warm, and comfortable. The fleece lining of the gloves closes around the skin of your hands to prevent dirt, snow, wind, and rain from getting inside the gloves. This is one of the obvious ones; the more insulation, the warmer the glove. But while insulation technology has come on leaps and bounds, meaning it’s possible to get warm gloves without turning your hands into a bunch of banana fingers with little-to-no handlebar control or dexterity, it’s still the case that more insulated gloves are bulkier, so there will be a trade off there. Wet conditions will also leave you colder, so most gloves will have a waterproof membrane and/or DWR surface coating to help keep your hands drier. Materials Each glove has been ridden extensively in the conditions for which it was designed. That means we tested the winter gloves in cold, wet conditions, and the summer gloves when it’s warm, to gauge how well they perform for the purpose for which they were intended. We found they offer considerable bar grip as they have lots of silicon dots on the palm and it is really easy to operate bike levers and a bike computer – the gloves are very flexible and have touchscreen inserts on the thumbs and index fingers.

One look at this pair of gloves and you would never think that it is made for cycling. The single color and dual-shade design make the gloves stand out and make it look more sophisticated than you think it is. With its color and design, the gloves are considered to be unisex and are recommended to be used by both males and females. You can read the name of the Troy Lee Designs Air glove in two ways – it’s lighter than air or it’s highly breathable. Either description works, because these are both minimal and well-ventilated. What we like about the Air is its figure-hugging fit, and the mini Velcro closure that lets you pull it apart to plug your hand in. There’s also a grip tab on the heel of the hand to help pull it on without tearing the material. The sizing is small and it’s a little flimsy – don’t expect it to last forever – but there’s no bunching at the palm and it almost feels like you’re not wearing a glove at all. In that sense, it does feel like you’re riding on air. These particular gloves have been made with technology from material experts Polartec to ensure warm, dry hands regardless of conditions. They have a Polartec outer membrane that creates an impermeable surface from rain and a fleece-lined inner which helps keep hands warm. Designed for cold rather than freezing temperatures, these Classic gloves use a layered construction to trap warm air between the inner and outer fabrics and provide thermal insulation. Made for the coldest and wettest days out on the bike, these are the only fully waterproof gloves in our guide. In certain climates, winter weather equals wet weather, rain, sleet and mud galore, and insulation won’t do a whole load of good if the glove is soaking wet. If you ride in the rain a lot, look out for gloves that have a waterproof or water-resistant membrane, plus a DWR or Durable Water Resistant coating; this causes water to bead on the surface and run off rather than soaking in through the fibers of the fabric.

Castelli Rosso Corsa Pro V Cycling Gloves

The Flexair is Fox’s thinnest, most minimal glove designed for maximum feel. It uses stretchy materials all over with extra flexible mesh between fingers, that’s also perforated for extra air flow and cooling, and based on extensive testing it’s one of the best mountain bike gloves out there. These Flexairs are exceptional in terms of perfect fit due to stretchy materials in every direction and the ventilation is superb too; so palms never get too sweaty and greasy inside and slime about on grips. This pair of waterproof cycling gloves is known for its user-friendly design and high-quality materials. The gloves feature waterproof and windproof material on the outside. In the inside, it is lined with high-quality fleece material that can protect your hands from harmful elements. Please keep in mind that only the surface of the gloves are waterproof so you should not use this on heavy rain and underwater. While they might have been designed for multipurpose use, the Brevet gloves from Rapha work particularly well as winter riding gloves for mountain biking.
