Ikkunateipit tulevat aina Tamiya korin mukana, ja niitä teipataan sisäpuolelta ennen maalaamista. Jos maalaat koria ohjeiden mukana tarvitset valkoista, mustaa, sekä savu (smoke) maalia, mutta saat OK lopputuloksen myös vain valkoista maalia käyttäen.
The TT-02 uses friction dampers standard, which are easily assembled without tools in just a few seconds. Again, a very beginner friendly way to get started, and better dampers can be added later. The term game-changer is thrown around casually nowadays, but with the Audi Quattro Rallye (also known as the Ur-Quattro), there really is no other way to accurately describe the car. Rally cars until then had all been rear-wheel drive, with 4WD being deemed much to heavy to be relevant, but 1980 Audi launched the Quattro, the first rally car ever with 4WD, and from then on, the days or rear wheel drive cars in WRC were numbered. The Quattro quite literally changed the game for rallying, with all succesfull rally cars launched after that being 4WD. Tamiya version of the car carries the colours of the 1983 factory rally car, driven by Hannu Mikkola and co-driver Arne Hertz to win the World Rally Championship that year. The test drivers were mostly very young men without any specific qualifications, strictly instructed and monitored to drive the exact same 400km route in a triangle between Munich, Deggendorf, Regensburg and Ingolstadt with the same load profiles and speeds day after day, 8 hours a day in 3 shifts. They mostly went from healthy to worn and overweight within a couple of years, getting minimum wage. Not the best conditions for developing enthusiasm and loyalty, just like most test drivers jobs, even if it the job title "test driver" sounds like a dream job to many petrolheads.
