There was plenty of down time with my 6 and 8 year olds too. Easter is fun but they also need quiet time playing with their toys. We had a lot of fun with our Spring time Sylvanian Families sensory tray so we thought we would have more seasonal fun with our Sylvanians this Easter. Sylvanians Families Easter fun Mother Barbara loves to cook, and her delicious meals make the whole family happy as can be. She’s got a weakness for strawberry ice cream and loves to share it with little Beth in winter when it’s cold outside and warm inside. Treat yourself to some Chocolate Rabbits this Easter – although they don’t contain actual chocolate, these lovely milky-coloured bunnies are cute as can be! Sister Julia is a gentle little girl who loves to knit! And she can oft be found knitting gifts for friends and family which make them feel warm inside and out.

Mother Nancy is a quilter extraordinaire and can make anything from clothes to curtains. She even holds ever popular sewing classes for crafty mums and their daughters. Little Baby Beth loves ice cream just as much as her mother, and she dreams of becoming an ice cream stand owner. She treasures the vanilla white scarf her sister Julia knitted for her!

Little Apricot is the baby of the bunch, and can be a little bit of a crybaby to boot. She’s convinced that it rains outside when she tears up, and so she tries to keep the tears at bay, even after a nasty tumble or a dropped treat. Did I tell you that several new families just moved into Sylvania?! I’ll bet you can’t wait to meet them, find out more about them here.Did I mention that it’s our birthday this year? We turn 30 years young and we’re going to spend so much time celebrating, it’s only fair that we have this lovely Seaside Birthday Party. It even comes complete with birthday cake - yum! With the first hint of sun starting to peek out from behind the clouds, Elsie’s Ice Cream set is a great way to mark Easter! Complete with cow Elsie Buttercup and her trusty ice cream tricycle, there’s also an umbrella to shade her from the rays and even some scrumptious looking ice creams. Daughter Mandy loves writing letters, whether it’s handmade birthday cards or store bought Christmas cards, she fills them with heart warming messages and sends them on their way. With their cute almond noses, perky hazelnut ears and brilliantly bushy tails, the Walnut Squirrel Family are in much demand in Sylvania. Complete with adorable two-tone markings on their faces, they’re distinctive little creatures, and always clad entirely in sunny yellow, you can’t miss them. Ahoy there, young ones, I’m Freya’s Grandfather, and this month I sailed across Sea Breeze Cape in my beautiful new Seaside Cruiser House Boat. When I returned, I was delighted to find out that there were new families to welcome to Sylvania!

Father Simon Sandy is sporty as anything, and especially loves marine sports. Whenever he can, he takes his family to spend time at the summer house beside the seaside. He takes advantage of the weather in summer, teaching marine sports to the little ones at Sea Breeze Cape.

It’s not just the houses that are connectable, you can also connect the Supermarket to the Toy Shop, which itself connects to the Sweet Store, so you can create your own unique village high street. The Supermarket is extra versatile in that it can also be attached to the Cosy Cottage Starter Home, Cedar Terrace, and Maple Manor when it’s already connected to the Toy Shop. Why just have a few Sylvanian shops when you can recreate the whole Sylvanian high street? And you can even combine your shops and properties to make a giant Sylvanian dwelling! Sister Rose is as pretty as a picture, just like her mother, she’s a little different from her twin sister Lily, but they have the same taste in clothes, and often swap togs, making them difficult to tell apart. Lily is good at sports just like her parents, and loves to shop! Little Baby Peppermint is a social butterfly, making new friends at the drop of a hat. She’s also active and loves playing on seesaws.
