With over 30 years of experience, Sweet Success takes pride in creating delicious ready made cakes that are freshly baked daily using unique family recipes to create each cake. When you buy a cake to decorate from us, you can trust that your customers will enjoy a beautifully baked cake. Our range of ready to decorate sponge cakes are time-saving and convenient and boast an impressive 4-5 week shelf life, giving you more time to perfect the decoration. We are a small bakery with only one baking production area, and unfortunately cannot guarantee that ANY of our products are totally free from gluten, egg, milk, soya or nuts, as these are all used daily as ingredients, or appear in ingredients we use. We are very easy to find, close to the Nottingham ring road andthe M1, and have a free customer car park right outside the shop. Our toffee cake and red velvet cake are both dairy free - ie do not contain dairy as an ingredient, but MAY still contain traces of milk as we do use milk powder on the premises.We do not currently offer any gluten free cakes. Unfortunately, new tighter rules on permissable trace levels of guten in products marketed as 'gluten free' make it almost impossible for small bakeries such as ours to produce genuinely gluten free cakes. HOWEVER we do offer a vanilla gluten free sponge cake mix for you to bake at home. Find it in the Cake Mix section! What about allergens - gluten, dairy, egg? What sort of nuts do you use? Do you make dairy free or gluten free cakes? Please see our ' cakeculator'tool to calculcate the amount of sugarpaste or marzipan you will need for your cake. The cake decorating and sugarcraft shop is CLOSED on Sundays and all Bank Holidays (including Good Friday). We are also usually closed for some of the days between Christmas and New Year. Ring before your visit if you're not sure! The 'result' may end in a tiny fraction of a gram, as the scaler is VERY accurate! You canjust round it to the nearest sensible number, depending on the unit you are using. EG rounding to the nearest whole number is fine if you are using grams. If you are using kilograms, pounds or ounces you will still need to paysome attention to the numbers after the decimal place!

Shapes with indentation, like hearts and petals, will need slightly more ribbon than the equivalent round shape. When makingvegan eggless sponge cakes, every possble precaution is taken to avoid cross contamination. However, the same limitations still apply as we are a small business and all products are baked in the same area. We strongly recommend that these products are not suitable for those with severe allergies, particularly with nuts, as there is an inevitable risk of cross contamination by airbourne particles which we can never completely eliminate.
