About this deal

That’s because we’re still in the early days of 5G, so don’t expect this expanded connectivity to be a major selling point this year as carriers build out their networks. In our New York City testing, we bounced through Verizon’s still-piecemeal mmWave 5G area, which provided impressive speeds when we didn’t accidentally step outside the coverage bubbles.

If you live in the US, you'll only be able to get a 5G variant unless you're willing to import the device. We've used the 5G variant for the purpose of this review, but if you wanted to opt for the cheaper 4G version (if it's available where you live) the specs are largely the same aside from connectivity. All Galaxy S20 variants suffer from over-smoothing on portrait shots, with the texture on faces lost. But as with the extra sharpening, this won’t be an issue for some – but it’s not for me. It’s worth pointing out that there aren’t any bold color choices here, and these are all relatively subdued options compared to the Galaxy S10 color range. The Aura Red is perhaps the boldest color choice, but that's one of the harder to find versions of the handset. Those in the US and Australia are only able to choose from the Cosmic Gray, Cloud Blue and Cloud Pink options at launch, but you may also be able to find the others at a later date. Those in the UK are able to get all three colors above, and the Cloud White version came to that market at a later date. While 8K recording is limited to 24fps, it has one big benefit: you’re able to crop and edit videos without sacrificing quality if you’re exporting to 4K or 1080p. And when you do come to charge the phone the included 25w charger will take you from 0-100% in about 65 minutes. This increases to 90 minutes if you’re using a slower charger from an older Samsung phone or a generic PD charger and about 3 hours if you’re charging wirelessly. This might not be as fast as the Oppo Find X2 Pro which can get a full charge in 40 minutes, but it’s a big improvement nevertheless. Software – Samsung’s One UI 2.1 is its best software yet We know an increase in screen size might be off-putting for some (there’s pent-up demand for smaller one-hand-friendly phones), and we have good news and bad news about that. First the good news: while the S20 is taller than the S10, it’s also a little narrower, with a 20:9 aspect ratio, and the screen is only marginally bigger. If you do decide to shoot in 8K, you can hit the camera button when you're recording to take a 33MP still image. This should be useful if you want a high-quality snap while you're already filming video.

The latest generation of mobile processing power has landed – enter the Qualcomm Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 Processor. The Galaxy S23 Series can take your multitasking, gaming and photography to the next level. The worry-free battery will power you through. If you’ve read our Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra review then you’ll know we weren’t that impressed with its battery life, especially when you consider the size of the phone. I’m a little more accepting of the middling endurance of the S20 since smaller phones have smaller batteries (4000mAh here vs 5000mAh on the Ultra). Capture every detail on the best Pixel camera yet. The camera set-up consists of incredible lenses to help you snap the perfect shot: a 50MP Wide Main Camera, a 12MP Ultrawide Camera, and a 10.5MP Front Camera. Plus, with 4K recording capability, shoot cinematic style content at 60fps.The telephoto lens is even better than the one on the Galaxy S10 too, allowing you to shoot high-quality 3x optical zoom shots or stretch all the way to a 30x digital zoom. The Galaxy S20 Ultra has higher camera specs overall, but most people will be more than satisfied with the shooter on this phone. The main camera, which remains 12MP, has an f/1.8 aperture. That’s theoretically inferior to the S10’s f/1.5 + f/2.4 dual aperture, which changes to suit the lighting conditions with the ‘wider’ f/1.5 setting pulling in more light for improved low-light shots. Alas, Samsung seems to have taken a pared-down approach when it comes to the Galaxy S20’s design. In an era of foldable phones, the S20 lineup looks rather utilitarian in comparison, with the usual chrome-tinted edges – which still look nice by the way – and pearlescent finishes on the rear glass panel failing to offer anything particularly new or groundbreaking. Elevate your every day with the Pixel 8 Pro. Powered by the incredible Google Tensor G3 processor, it utilises Google AI to enhance your productivity.. The large 4400mAh battery means you can keep going for longer. Chat to friends, stream content, and game for even longer thanks to optimised battery life.
