About this deal

Rosewood is a generic term to designate different species of wood, as much used in perfumery as in cabinet making. Rosewood is known in botany under different Latin names, depending on the region of origin. It is found on the island of Madagascar, in Burma or in eastern India. But it is from Brazil and Guyana that it originates. Indeed, this fragrant tree likes to grow in tropical forests with a hot and humid climate. From the Lauraceae family, the rosewood produces small yellowish flowers which are not really fragrant. Its colorful name comes from its bark, recognizable by its pinkish veins and the unique floral scent it gives off. From discovery to regulation

Overall : 9/10 Even though projection and sillage aren't beast performance, the scent is always most important and this stuff smells amazing. Brazilian Rosewood. I must admit the notes here have me perplexed. I might be the only one, but I get a Brazilian Rosewood from this scent: dusty rose, soapy woods, powdery sweetness. The dusty rose colour of the juice and the name accurately represent the scent imho. Admittedly my bottle is from somewhere between 2006-08, but it still smells the same to me today as when I got it. The Brazilian Rosewood accord has reminders for me of other scents with Brazilian Rosewood: Organza Indecence Givenchy, Presence d'une Femme Montblanc & Midnight Fleur Nest. Has above average performance for year round wear. Desert Rosewood is classified by the company as a woody, liqueur, gourmand, and mystical scent. When applied, it smells like mandarin jelly, still warm, prepared with pieces of cinnamon and cloves, and also brings some camphorated nuances. These nuances disappear, shortly after, and there is a mixture of light woods without of humidity aspect, besides the great presence of benzoin. I have to say out of all of them this one is my favourite and I plan to get this when I finish my bottle of ristretto intense cafe. For the Wax Melts: You will receive a 50g (approx) plastic container, filled with 7-8 pieces of wax moulds blended in a fragrance of your choice, each melt will give around 1 hour burning time. Delicious blend of creamy vanilla and a sweet rose with just a hint of oud to balance out the sweetness. I personally can’t detect anything animalic in here. It’s a cold weather gourmand dream! The creative concept aims to portray the meeting of the old with the new, the trees with the arid landscapes under the scorching sun. And this contrast is made through a sweet and woody fragrance with a leathery and warm aspect. To do so were combined notes of Australian rosewood, Sicilian mandarin, Indian cardamom, benzoin from Laos, vanilla from the Comoros Islands, Indonesian patchouli, and Australian Buddha wood (Eremophila Mitchelli), which is also called "false sandalwood” and its essential oil has nuances that resemble whiskey. Desert Rosewood was launched in 2016 and was created by François Merle-Baudoin. The inspiration was the region known as Central Highlands in Victoria, an area that has a lot of natural diversity, including forests full of myrtle, sassafras, ferns, mosses, eucalyptus, and even Australian Acacias called Golden Wattles (Acacia Pycnantha Benth). Oud - I think it’s safe to say Oud Rosewood uses little to no real oud. The oud is a synthetic oud, but it is done much better than what I’m used to smelling from designers. At the drydown, the oud note smells kind of like a bandaid, but it’s much more pleasant than the medicinal bandaid-type oud you find in some Montales.

Something bitter and snobbish that only someone like a sommelier would love and average people pretend to like because an expert says that it is tasteful or elegant or whatever. Until I tested oud Satin mood the other day. Wow, it's really pure at the beginning, extremely animalistic and just too much for me, but after 4-5 hours it develops in a similar way. There is no rose listed in Rosewood but I am pretty sure it is available.

For the Hand & Body Wash: How awesome is this? You can shower in your favourite scent before applying it to your body. There will no longer be a clash between the fragrance of your shower and the scent you apply. A luxurious lathering hand and body wash that is paraben free. Suitable for vegan and vegetarians and cruelty free. For some reason, I have tended to avoid wearing the warm, woody, ambery perfumes even if I have them and liked them. This is reminding me of Obsession because of the powdery amber and warmth, but a much softer Obsession I can actually wear and minus the spice (it is way too loud and harsh for me, and gives me an instant headache). Smells a little mature when I sniff it on the skin, it feels perfumey. My son said it smells a bit of babywipes, but he likes it.

the raspberry and quince jam are there to provide just some sweetness and tartness. they are not dominant at all. i can see this might become a go to oud fragrance for a lot of people in the community as its not very challenging and smells pleasant to people yet smells 'Niche' and unique. Raspberry - I get a touch of sweetness in this that must be the raspberry note. I don’t find this note to be a very authentic raspberry, but it’s the same type of sweetness you find in Tuscan Leather.Ingredients: Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Glycerin Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Polyquaternium-7, Tetrasodium Glutamate, Diacetate, Parfum Rosewood is prized as much for its delicate fragrance, as for its solid wood, but also for its therapeutic virtues. In aromatherapy, the essential oil of rosewood is a powerful ally of the skin. Softening and firming, it brings radiance to the epidermis. It is therefore an excellent natural anti-aging! Thanks to the presence of linalool in its composition, this essence also has antiviral and anti-infectious properties. Its soft and subtle fragrance is also indicated to calm stress and anxiety. The use of rosewood in perfumery The extraction of the essential oil

I'll agree that this one is reminiscent of Ellen Tracy's Bronze, but in my case, that is a happy thing. On my skin this is an absolute monster. It will not fade or disappear until i wash it off with lots of soap. I have this, Leather Oud (LO) and Purple Oud (PO) and i think this might actually be the "dirtiest" of the three - even more so than LO which is famous for being very funky. This one is VERY animalic and indolic after the initial fruity notes has disappeared. Where LO starts our funky but then settles in to something a bit more crowd pleasing this one keeps going strong. Sniffed from the bottle it's gorgeous, soft, clean, warm, feminine. Sprayed directly into the air in front of me, it's just alcohol. When I spray on skin, I get an initial burst of something sharp and bitter, mixed with a powdery sweetness. I think the sharp, bitter note might be the bergamot, but it's barely recognisable as citrus. For the first few minutes I couldn't tell if I liked it on my skin or not, but now it's settling into something soft and powdery, leaning sweet vanilla, more like it smelled directly from the bottle. I am getting the babywipes/talc vibe a little bit. But it's pretty. The florals aren't listed but are definitely coming through now, after about twenty minutes of it sitting on my skin. A smattering of pink rose petals, and maybe a sprinkle of something else. The florals are delicate and elegant. I don't really get any tea, I don't think.I love the rich amber color, representing the twilight desert, inside the jar made with French glass. As for the projection, it is a fragrance of low trace and high comfort. It exudes to the wearer and draws attention to who is close enough to feel it. It has high durability. I can't notice bergamot here.I wouldn't guess tea either but now that I know what I'm looking for,I can see it's like a sugary tea a bit similar to the tea note in Flowerbomb but not as sharp as that one.I can strangely detect something like rose too,a powdery rose and there's also this lovely softley powdered marshmallow vanilla-amber combo which I adore. I can also feel there's a dry, woody base. something like cashmere.maybe this is supposed to be the rosewood but it's not similar to what I expected(I can recognize the rosewood note thanks to Dior Dune which is a real rosewood-prominent fragrance. and this is not like the rosewood in Dior Dune) For me rosewood is the more portable (and better) Oud Satin Mood. The great comment from Eyris before me also compares these 2 fragrances. Such a soft, delicate fragrance at the same time, you can clearly feel the oud note (which is present in the top note and always resonates nicely until the end) and the durability is also enormous, has really impressed me very much! Madagascar vanilla that is slightly smoky, definitely not a cheap drugstore vanilla with a subliminal musk and rose - I am in fragrance heaven!
