About this deal

The Xiaomi Redmi 10 has a 5,000mAh battery, much like most of its arch rivals and its significantly larger siblings. We find that while the Moto G50 tends to last longer between charges, few will find any reason to complain here. The gap in gaming performance between this and the Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro is vast considering the fairly small price disparity. At this affordable level, Samsung and Motorola both use 720p screens with a lower pixel density than the Redmi 10’s. This 6.5-inch screen is very sharp. Pixel density of around 405 pixels per inch is fantastic for a phone this cheap. The Xiaomi Redmi 10's screen is one of the stronger parts of the phone, although primarily against rival brands rather than other Xiaomi Androids you might buy. Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 678 processor, Adreno 612 GPU and a massive 5000mAh battery supported by 33W Fast charger(in-box)

To power this Superstar, we have the India Debut for our latest MediaTek Helio G88, A stellar upgrade from the previous gen MediaTek Helio G80 on the Redmi 9 Prime. The Helio G88 produces a higher GPU frequency, Supports 90Hz Refresh Rate and Enhances Photography. All these together help the Redmi 10 Prime reach a whopping AnTuTu score of 238,114*In a phone at this level we don’t expect high-end video features like stabilized 4K and 120fps slow-mo, but the Redmi 10 is limited to 1080p, 30 frames per second capture. And even at this lowly capture rate it can’t manage electronic/software stabilization. There’s less mid-range and ‘bass’ (no phones have real bass) than in the Poco X3 Pro too, although it passes the test of making podcasts audible while you have a shower. Maximum volume is solid, the tone is just slightly thinner or more brittle than some. Color saturation is good too although we do recommend tweaking it a bit. Fresh out of the box the Redmi 10’s color temperature was a little too cool, likely used as a way to make it appear to ‘pop’ a bit more. The Xiaomi Redmi 10's camera is its most deceptive area. It looks and sounds advanced. The camera array seems like the photographic equivalent of a Swiss army knife from a glance, and it has a 50MP sensor. This Superstar comes with a massive 6000mAh battery that again is a stellar upgrade from the previous Redmi 9 Prime. Inspite of increasing the battery by about 20% we have managed to reduce the weight of this Superstar to just 192gms, lightest 6000mAh from the house of Redmi. Another specialty this superstar smartphone flaunts is that it can support up to 9W Reverse Wired Charging.

The Redmi 10 by Xiaomi launched in August 2021, arriving a little more than a year after the Redmi 9. General performance of the Redmi 10 is okay, with some common caveats that come with an entry-level CPU. There are some short waits when you load an app that has not been sitting in the cache, because it was used a moment ago. And there’s some minor lag in the interface in general. The device is fitted with a Side-mounted fingerprint sensor with double tap gestures for easy access The Redmi 10 Prime promises to deliver a wholesome experience with 16.5cm(6.5) FHD+ 90Hz Adaptive Refresh Rate display. The superstar is smart enough to detect the kind of application usage and accordingly sync to the required refresh rate*, thus optimizing the battery usage as well. For the students or our readers we have the all-new Reading Mode 3.0, it also comes with sunlight mode and dark mode features.

Xiaomi Redmi 10

Xiaomi also uses relatively slow eMMC storage in this phone, although with read speeds of 283MB/s and writes of 152MB/s we’re not looking at anything too bad. Still, the Poco X3 Pro gets you reads of around 1000MB/s. It's a real performance outlier. Redmi Note 10 is equipped with a 3.54mm tiny punch-hole in-display selfie camera which gives you stunning selfies The legacy of our famous EVOL Design continues in Redmi 10 Prime as well flaunting three gorgeous colors: The Redmi 10's design is a good example of ‘faking it’. This is a concept we've talked about before. Lots of all-plastic phones are dressed up like higher-end ones, with the intention to appear like metal and glass designs. This phone has a MediaTek Helio G88, a low-end processor made for 4G phones. You might compare it to something like the Snapdragon 662 used in the Moto G30.

This isn't a super-clever screen that changes refresh rate as required, dipping down on static screens, but it will drop down to 60Hz for apps that don't make use of a higher refresh rate, like Netflix. The Redmi 10 is a 90Hz phone but this skill wasn't enabled as standard. You can choose either 60Hz or 90Hz modes, and the faster one makes Android menus appear to scroll more smoothly.

Halfway to being a great budget phone

It’s not impossible to take good shots with the Xiaomi Redmi 10. You can find a few in this review's photo gallery that look just fine. But Xiaomi doesn’t make it easy. Get an unmatched immersive viewing experience on the Redmi Note 10 with 1100-nits Ultra Bright Display
