About this deal

I bet you didn’t realize there were Giraffe in Spain. Well, there aren’t, except maybe in a zoo. But that didn’t stop one of our many visitors from asking “Why is there a giraffe on the road sign?”. I remember thinking “Huh? A giraffe?”I had them point out the sign with the “giraffe” and had a good laugh. Let me know what you think about the giraffe sign ( merging traffic). Jellyfish Crossing They drive on the right! This is a bonus for the American, as it is familiar and the same as the US! That said, they do drive pretty fast and typically only use the far left lane for passing. If you find yourself sightseeing in the left lane, scoot on over and drive in the right lane. That’s all vehicles, including cycles that are being ridden. However, ‘pedal cycles being pushed by hand’ are explicitly exempt. Pedal cycles being scooted aren’t (see above). Awhite sign with a red circle means (Prohibited, No or Don’t). Sometimes there is a slash and sometimes there isn’t.

If you’re going to be driving in Germany, it’s a good idea to get to grips with the different road signs and their meanings, before hitting the road. There are over 1.000 traffic signs in the German traffic code, including warning signs, speed limit signs and information signs. Just in case you didn’t know, you shouldn’t blow up your car (Especially if you are in it)! Really it is no explosives, but doesn’t it look like you left a volcano school project on the roof? Or maybe a little sparkler stop your cake? Thanks for the reminder to add this on Cat! Confusing Spanish Road Signs! You are entering an area reserved for pedestrians; applies to all streets until you pass an “End of pedestrian zone” signCar parks associated with supermarkets, hospitals, leisure centres, retail parks, shopping centres etc. are usually private land and parking is managed using the laws of contract or trespass.

Vehicles should not normally be parked wholly or partly on verges and footways because doing so causes an obstruction and a danger to pedestrians, people with disabilities, children and other vulnerable people. You are entering a neighbourhood where parking is for permit holders only, as indicated by the supplemental sign; this applies until you pass an “End of parking management zone” sign

Pedestrian Zones: these are areas that you may not enter during their operational hours. Even outside those times, there is usually a waiting and loading restriction stated on the bottom panel of the entry sign and on repeater signs within the zone, but not shown with yellow lines or ‘loading blips’ to indicate this within the zone. Making sure that you conform to current safety legislation is an important factor when reviewing the safety standards in your workplace, thankfully shopping with Seton makes this easy. The Pedestrian Signs in our extensive range are manufactured to high standards and fully comply with current UK health and safety regulations. The symbols, where applicable, all conform to ISO 7010 as well the British Standard BS 5499. There are a number of pedestrian zone signs. One common version includes the ‘no vehicles’ sign (see above). This one is different: it specifies ‘no motor vehicles’ so, despite the words ‘pedestrian zone’, it’s permissible to ride a bicycle in this zone, essentially indicating a route for pedestrians and cyclists . . A panel beneath may give the zone’s hours of operation, along with any other exemptions. Despite their clarity, some of the UK’s traffic signs are widely misunderstood – particularly those relating to cyclists.

Educate workers and visitors on the safety procedures: Make sure that all workers and visitors are aware of the safety procedures in place for keeping pedestrians and traffic separate. Safety signs are vital because they can help to prevent accidents and injuries. They can do this by:

Each sign is available with a choice of Sign Fixings to ensure your signs will stay affixed for years to come. These include our permanent adhesive option, a versatile product ideal for fixing rigid plastic signs without the need to drill holes. It is weather and UV resistant, meaning it can be used to affix signage both indoors and outdoors. Its outstanding sealing properties also means this product can be used as a sealant. Marks the end of a no parking area - no parking to the right of this sign on this side of the street But Ihave to say the all time most confusing is the double negative. The red circle alone means don’t, but when there is a slash through it too, does it mean No Don’t? Do 2 no’s make a yes? Are you leaving the right turn area? Maybe it means “We really really mean NO right turn”. Signage and markings: Signage and markings can be used to warn pedestrians and drivers of the potential hazards and to direct them to the safest routes. Pedestrian zone signs are a relatively inexpensive and easy way to improve safety, but it is important to make sure that the signs and markings are clear, visible, and well-maintained.
