I tested the highest 3 modes for flood and throw but didn’t test any of the color modes for runtime.

It only takes about 4 hours from empty to full. I can’t wait to talk about this flashlight. If you’re impressed with anything build by Lumintop, Fenix, Acebeam and the like, you will definitely be impressed with this one.Compared to the Marauder 2, this light is more compact and holds a lighter weight at only 16oz, which comfortably fits in your hand and feels exceptionally balanced. In comparison to Marauder 2, what are the upgrades? Firstly. Marauder mini hasRGB light and a light color indicator.Secondly. A vibrating charge indication is available for the Marauder mini. And, It uses bottom magnetic for charging.Also. Spot beam shape changed from square to circular. There is yet 1 more switch, and that one is for switching between flood and throw. The center LED is actually used separately from the LEDs on the edge of the flashlight. I like that idea to have this option. The single LED has a much longer runtime as well. But anyway, the flood/throw switch is located below the knob. It’s pretty easy to operate in the dark. That being said: I couldn’t measure output in Flood mode in an integrating sphere, since the sensor senses the object (integrating sphere) and therefore reduces the output directly. (Now I can though with the sensor turned off). So I couldn’t measure lumens and runtime the normal way. Only after doing some crazy testing, and errors, I realized that the proximity meter only is used for the Flood settings. booo. This is not the end of the world. It’s very nice that it’s even possibleto change the cell, even if we’re required to buy one directly from Olight. I am also pleased that this light runs on a singlelithium-ion cell; any configuration of series or parallel just adds more complexity than I often like to fool with. Turning this light on was a bit of a struggle. Instead of a push switch it has a dial + push switch. I had to read the manual to understand how to turn it on… men don’t read manuals you know. Following the Marauder 2's lens design and composed of 9 LEDs surrounding the center, it enables sevenbrightness levels that provide 200-7000 lumens. A large round LED has been added to the center, offering a 600-meter spotlight beam.A built-in thermal sensor and cooling fins ensure safety in case of overheating and lens obstruction. It’s quite interesting that the TIR optics of the outer LEDs and the center LED with the convex shape are all made of 1 piece of plastic.

I’ve written this chart like Olight wrote the manual. Every mode’s top level is called “100%” and the stepdowns are a percentage of that number (instead of just stating what that number is…) I don’t know why Olight did the list this way. Mode Unlike the Marauder 2 (or “M2”), this little loop does not seem to flip out and in the photo above is as exposed as it gets.

Uniformly Distributed RGB Color LEDs: Three RGB LEDs are uniformly distributed around the lens, greatly increasing its usefulness on any outdoor adventure. Some people complained about the rectangular beam, and it’s probably because they aren’t used to it. I think our perception of a beam is usually round. It’s not like the imperfect beam of most zoomable/focusable flashlights. The LED for throw is in the center behind a convex shaped lens. The outer ring of LEDs are in the outer ring behind TIR optics. In the flood setting, the beam is really wide and smooth. I don’t really know what kind of LEDs they are.

Unlike the Marauder 2, the Marauder Mini uses the signature magnetic charging system and also has a removable battery. The customised 6500 mAh 32650 lithium-ion battery is recharged inside the torch using the included MCC3 magnetic charging cable. Simply connect the magnet to the base of the torch and plug the USB end into a suitable USB adaptor (5 V 2 A recommended for fastest charging). The indicator light on the magnet will go red while charging is in progress and turn green once charging is complete after approximately 5 hours if the power supply is sufficient enough to support the 2 A output, otherwise the cable will output at a lower rate or 1 A or 1.5 A depending on the power supply. The proximity sensor is a safety feature. Some people complained about this, and I don’t really see a problem with this feature. Also above is the light beside my custom engraved TorchLAB BOSS 35, an 18350 light. I reviewed the aluminum version of that light in both 35 and 70 formats. It's a powerful rechargeable dual-beam LED flashlight with both flood and throws. After quite a bit of trouble, trial, and error, I learned that you can actually turn off the proximity sensor. So I repeated the test, and these are the numbers. They are slightly lower than done by the ceiling bounce test. I still trust these more than the ceiling bounce test I did before. ModeThe light does shut off with low voltage protection, and the stepdowns seem to approximate what Olight’s manual claims. Charging On the other aspects, both lights are almost identical. The interface is the same of both lights. With a super easy and effective rotary knob, battery and output indicator, switch to flip between flood and throw beam, silicone wrapped around the body to make the lights carry more comfortably in the cold, the heat, and avoid slipping when the light is wet or you are wearing gloves. Various looks for various people In Marauder mini, the Spot beam has been shaped in a circular pattern instead of a square compared to theMarauder 2. The Marauder 2 is 8% longer (so, not longer by that much), 17% wider at the head and at the body (ok, 17% is a bit more), and finally, 61% heavier (ok, this is very noticeable). On the other hand, the Marauder 2 has double the brightness of the Marauder Mini, and 200 meters (or 50%) more throw. But the Marauder Mini has a RGB LEDs, as well as vibration indicator for when you reach minimum and maximum outputs.
