About this deal

When a note is dotted - that is, it has a dot to its right - you add half its value again. So, a dotted minim is three beats long because a minim (2 beats) + half a minim (1 beat) = 3 beats. For around the cost of ONE MUSIC LESSON you can have access to all these instant print flashcards, and you can print them out straight away from your computer.

This set of cards is a way for children to test one another on their vocabulary knowledge in school or at home.

I’ve been a long-time fan and Piano Safariteacher, but I just recently found out about this wonderful set of free flashcards that correlate with Level One.

If you got cards pre-printed you’d have to worry about losing them – the box would end up looking pretty tired and used and you’d have to constantly sort through a whole heap of cards that you might never use. This set of Music Note Values Flash Cards includes rests, clefs and beamed quavers and semiquavers meaning they’re handy for lots of activities to do with pitch and rhythm. These flashcards also make great display posters for your class, you can print these on A3 paper to make them larger and laminate them, so they can be displayed on the wall. These flashcards can also be used to create a fun game with students that is entertaining and educational. Music Flash Cards for Music Theory (Note Names, Basic Rhythms, Clefs and More)

These sets of free rhythm flashcards that I printed and laminated years ago from D’Net Layton are still a staple in my studio! The collections advance from simple rhythms to more complex combinations of sixteenth notes and rests, so they can be used for a wide variety of students.

CAN WE PLEASE REQUEST THAT YOU DO NOT USE EXPLETIVES WHEN YOU CREATE YOUR NAME? There are kids who enjoy this and we prefer that they are not exposed to negative words. Will you please do your best to honor this request? Unfortunately, due to some defiant players, who do not follow the above request, we are forced to PURGE the entries every 3 months to give people a fresh start. Your Information is Secure Anyone who has ever done any examination, particularly a theory examination knows that you have to learn a LOT of Italian terms.I made these many years ago and use them all the time at group lessons for team rhythm dictation games! Take a peak at a pair of siblings using these for a rhythmic dictation challenge. I could of course blame their theory teaching, the school system or the parents… but I can’t do that. The student needs to know these things, and it is my responsibility to make sure that they know it. If you are teaching a lesson about the aspects of music that define how a piece is played then these flashcards are a fantastic resource for introducing these aspects of music to your class. These music flashcard slides are optimized and ready to use during online lessons as digital flashcards through the share screen function on Zoom.

So go ahead, you have nothing to lose, except perhaps the hundreds of hours work that it will cost you if you DON’T get started now with the ultimate instant print flashcard set! Sign up to Twinkl today to explore more music resources your children will love! How can I use this set of flash cards? We created these music flashcards to help online music learners memorize the names of the notes on the staff. The templates below are made to print easily on home or office printers. They are completely free to use and share (not for re-sale). The twist is: instead of shouting 'snap!' when they find a pair, ask your kids to make the sound of the instrument! In this set you’ll find a mixture of common and uncommon symbols. We have tried to cover absolutely everything you might find in a general knowledge section of a practical or theory examination. We’ve even included the different ornament symbols, such as upper and lower mordents, acciaccatura and appoggiatura (one for the advanced theory students this one!) Start with 2 - 4 cards, such as bass B and Middle C, and treble MC and D. Mix them up, then ask your student, "Top or bottom? TREBLE or BASS?" (High or low...left or right...)
