About this deal

I’ve got to be honest with you; I’m not really into coconut as a drink flavour. So I’m a bit biased against this one to begin with. With that being said, it wasn’t as bad as I was worried it might be - I actually even kind of enjoyed it, although it’s very heavy on the coconut flavouring! There’s also something unusual about that same coconut flavour existing in jelly form, which to me was just a little bit too much. Just because of my personal preferences, I’ll give this one a 5, but if you were more of a coconut drink fan then I think this could well be a new favourite for you! Mogu Mogu comes in 320ml bottles, perfect for enjoying at home, on the go, or in your lunch bag. If there is a particular flavour that you love, you can also get bulk boxes of 24 bottles. Where is Mogu Mogu From? The uniqueness of this chewy yet refreshing drink is both interesting and fascinating. It’s not hard to see why this drink is continuing to go from strength to strength.

Perfect for a refreshing summer sip, picnics and lunchboxes, Mogu Mogu juice drinks come in a range of fun, enticing colours and flavours. This is another drink that is rising to fame in the UK and this blog post from Twinings explains exactly what it is – ‘What is Bubble Tea?’. Mogu Mogu is made with real fruit juice, which means it is a source of vitamin C, but also contains a fairly high level of sugar. In general, it is not an unhealthy drink, as it is low in cholesterol, contains zero fat and is around 170 calories per bottle on average. But what is nata de coco? This unique drink ingredient is a translucent jelly made from coconut water. It originates from the Philippines and is a popular addition to many desserts and sweet treats.

This translucent jelly is usually referred to as ‘healthy’ due to it having fewer calories compared to other desserts of this type. There are currently 17 flavours of Mogu Mogu sold in 60 countries worldwide. All bursting with flavour and zesty, tangy fruit. Strawberries! They’re one of the best things about summer. Whether eaten on their own or perhaps with some ice cream or even atop a cake, strawberries routinely bring joy into my life. This drink is no different. To me, strawberry is a classic flavour for jelly, so there was something oddly nostalgic about this flavour. It’s another really solid flavour in the lineup, and if you like strawberry flavoured drinks then you need to make room in your fridge for this one! I'd give it a 8 out of 10.Mogu Mogu drinks are the epitome of delightful refreshments. These drinks combine the rich creaminess of coconut with an explosion of fruity goodness. Mogu Mogu drinks are a range of refreshing fruit juices. They combine delicious flavours of real fruit, with added chunks of chewy nata de coco. Yes, you read that right - they’re jelly filled! These delicious fruit flavoured concoctions each contain a generous helping of small fruit flavoured jelly pieces, and as the side of the bottle points out, you ‘gotta chew!’ whilst you drink them. For science, I thought I should taste test all of them, and let you know which of these flavours are enhanced by such an interesting textural experience, which ones aren’t, and tell you all about why you should try these ‘mogu mogu’ drinks! There’s something about this lychee flavour that was difficult to place. The flavour itself is a very good imitation of lychee, but it also had a kind of… floral taste to it? If you’re looking for a drink that’s still sweet but perhaps a little less sweet than the other flavours of mogu mogu, this would be a good one to choose. It reminded me a lot of the lychee flavoured popping pearls or perhaps more specifically, the lychee jelly that you might get in a bubble tea. It’s pretty good, and I’d definitely drink it again. I’d give it a strong 7.5/10.

When deciding to taste test all of the Mogu Mogu drinks, I came into it with a lot of assumptions. Firstly, I assumed that I would like the Mango and Peach flavours best, as these are two flavours I usually enjoy. Secondly, I assumed that the texture might get in the way of the flavour. On both accounts I feel like I was wrong, but that certainly doesn’t mean Mango was bad. In fact, not to give away too many spoilers for the rest of this article, but I’d say Mango is probably the third best of the selection. It’s a crisp, refreshing and tangy mango flavour, and I think the jelly pieces add a dynamic element to the texture of the drink. After I finished it, I kind of wanted another one straight away, so that’s certainly a good sign. It’s definitely a sublime mango drink experience. Overall, I’d give this flavour an 8/10.Supplied in 320ml bottles, they are great for taking with you on the go or adding to lunch boxes or school bags. One thing to be mindful of is that due to the nata de coco that’s added to the liquid. It is high in dietary fibre as this is coconut jelly. Before trying it myself, I gave some of this flavour to my partner, who is a big peach fan. After taking a sip, they immediately said ‘Wow! That’s good!’ and proceeded to take the bottle to their desk and continued to drink it. I eventually got to try some, and I can agree with their general assessment. There’s something about this particular flavour that feels a bit more like a fruit juice than the rest of the flavours: a slightly lighter taste perhaps. Once again, the jelly pieces do a good job of enhancing the flavour. On the whole, it’s a pretty comprehensive peach drink experience, and much like with mango, I think it’s a flavour that works well in jelly form. It’s a strong showing, and I really enjoyed it, so I can’t help but give this flavour a ground-breaking 9 out of 10. Nata de Coco is the added ingredient in the Mogu Mogu range of drinks. Produced by the fermentation of coconut water, it is also referred to as coconut gel. The jelly-like substance in Mogu Mogu drinks is called nata de coco. Nata de coco is a chewy, translucent jelly made from fermented coconut water. It is often used as an ingredient in desserts, drinks, and other food products. Nata de coco is known for its unique texture and refreshing taste. It is commonly used in Southeast Asian cuisine and can be found in various flavours and forms.
