About this deal

This walk takes you from the Mumbles to the lovely Caswell Bay on the south east of the Gower Peninsula. The route runs for a distance of just over 4 miles on a undulating coastal path, passing Langland Bay on the way.

Getting there: On foot from Rhossili car park, either on the coastal route outlined above (up to 40 minutes) or across fields (20-25 minutes). Langland always draws plenty of visitors in the spring and summer months – mainly to relax on the beach, at the cafes or takeaway, but also to surf. It’s a great area for birdwatching, and a few hardy photographers have been known to make the long trek out to the cast-iron lighthouse at Whiteford Point al low tide. We haven’t, but can testify that it’s a striking photographic subject.

Get active – on the land

The interior is mainly farmland and common land. The population mainly resides in small villages and communities with some suburban development in eastern Gower; part of the Swansea Urban Area. [8] History [ edit ] Stone Age [ edit ] To continue your walking in this stunning area you could try our circular walk around the Rhossili headland. At low tide you can also cross the causeway and visit Worm's Head. View Full Details>>

Stay on dry land, and you will be missing out! It gets some of the most awesome waves in Britain, and sandy Llangennith has been popular amongst surfers for decades. Rhossili Bay has also been enjoying some limelight on the world stage too. It has been voted into the top ten of beaches in Britain for the last eight years and is currently the 11th best beach in Europe (TripAdvisor, Travellers’ Choice Awards). You head along the coast to Mumbles Head where there is a lifeboat station and a nice long pier to stroll out on. From here there are great views out to Mumbles Head and the lighthouse. Facilities: It’s a Blue Flag beach, with easy access. There’s a kiosk at one end of the beach and an Italian restaurant overlooking the other. 7. Limeslade Bay Little Limeslade Bay in the Swansea suburbs north area - changes to Clydach, Llangyfelach and Pontarddulais wards (incorporating former Mawr ward) and new 'Pontlliw and Tircoed' ward
