Emma: I’ve been painting for many years, and Contrast is one of the most fun and versatile paint ranges I’ve worked with. They are easy and fun to use, making armies faster than ever to paint.Kroxigor Scales or Luxion Purple are perfect for painting the warp-touched daemons of Tzeentch in all their chromatic splendour, while Imperial Fist Yellow or Striking Scorpion Green will give the Scions of the Flame access to a kaleidoscopic inferno – let your imagination run wild! Max: The Starborne are the cosmic cousins to the Coalesced. They’re still hulking reptilian warriors, but they’re infused with the energy of Azyr. To represent this, we painted some miniatures with a bright cerulean glow emanating from them, and we drew the rest of the palette from astronomical photography – lots of deep purples and dark blues. These were fun to paint up, with plenty of fun details. The only issue I ran into painting was that the shoulder pad trim was actually too small for me to follow with my ever-so-slight hand shakes – but otherwise it was a blast. Kroxigor Scales Colour Schemes & Combinations A lot of these same schemes and colors can be used across the rest of the Saurus and even the Skinks. I plan on doing a slightly lighter version of this for my own Skinks. At that point we called it, my opponent had the dread, 10 tacs and 2 terms left, and I had to go. An infrequent spawning, it is rare for more than a handful of Kroxigor to enter the world at the same time.
