About this deal

The HyperX Fury S Pro XLis a ‘desk sized’ mouse pad, meaning that it’s large enough to also accommodate your keyboard. Some people like that feeling while others hate it, so it’s really a matter of preference here, but the good thing is that the Fury S Pro also comes in smaller sizes; you can get small, medium and, you guessed it, large. HyperX FURY DDR4 is a quality memory for home users. Is it worth the hype, or should you go for a different brand? Buy it if… This is pasted from our multichannel RAM benchmark, where we tested dual- vs. single-channel platform configurations.

The HyperX Fury S Pro XLdoes everything right if you’re looking for a consistent pad with a medium (edging on fast) glide. It starts off a tad bit faster, but that initial faster feeling wears off after some time. Still, the glide and performance of the Fury S Pro is very respectable and I would definitely not feel bad if someone shoved this pad underneath my mouse and told me to use it in a competitive environment. Yes, HyperX FURY is an excellent memory for entry- and mid-range PCs. It suits gamers and content creators alike. Memory write is our next chart. Once again, it goes ADATA, Corsair, and then HyperX in the standings; the differential between the Vengeance and HyperX products is close enough to be regarded as irrelevant. Selecting either of these kits based on price would be the way to go thus far, though things will change as we progress through the real-world tests. MaxxMem is another synthetic test. I won't spend as much time here since it's a bit easier to understand.

The benchmark CFD grid contains 1.23 million tetrahedral elements and 223 thousand nodes. The benchmark executable advances the Mach 0.50 AGARD flow solution. Our benchmark score is reported as a CFD cycle frequency in Hertz." RAM modules don’t normally sport attractive designs. After all, these components must be practical, not aesthetic. Yet, when designing a gaming PC with transparent chassis, the visual appeal of each component can make or break the deal. Handbrake provides an indicator of memory performance in more intensive, real-world applications -- like video transcoding and encoding x.264 files. The test results show the top three performers -- ADATA's high-end kit, Corsair's Vengeance Pro, and the HyperX Fury memory -- are all within margin of error of each other. The XPG value and Kingston value lines could be noticeably worse when this type of encoding work is being performed several hours a day (professionally), but are otherwise not noteworthy.

The benchmark testcase is the AGARD 445.6 aeroelastic test wing. The wing uses a NACA 65A004 airfoil section and has a panel aspect ratio of 1.65, a taper ratio of 0.66, and a 45 degree quarter-chord sweep angle. This AGARD wing was tested at the NASA Langley Research Center in the 16-foot Transonic Dynamics Tunnel and is a standard aeroelastic test case used for validation of unsteady, compressible CFD codes. Figure 1 shows the CFD predicted Mach contours for a freestream Mach number of 0.960. Euler 3D is best-used when testing CPUs and memory. The program is freely available through Casealab.First, make sure you have the correct memory for your computer. Please refer to Kingston's onlineMemory Search at www.kingston.com for assistance. After you confirm that you have the correct memory for your system, do the following:

Compatibility with HyperX NGENUITY makes it easy to set the desired light bar colorway or manage settings directly from your HyperX keyboard. Alternatively, you could use the motherboard’s software for the same purpose. The low profile also makes the memory compatible with all desktop systems, no matter how compact. Chipset Compatibility These results are mirrored in some games in the real world, though generally it's within margin of error and ends up being a flat-line chart. Formula 1 2012 is one of the few games that sees large gains in FPS from memory, but we've opted not to test this since it seems more like a benchmark of F1 and not the memory (being the only game I've found with such a response). Real World Tests - Handbrake As for the subjective, aesthetics stuff, I'm a big fan of the matte white color -- it looks excellent with the white H440 we reviewed. I wrote a full-feature test case for this bench that was followed to the 't,' so each test was executed under identical conditions (beyond our one variable that changes). For trade reasons, we aren't releasing the start-to-finish test case spreadsheet, but I'll walk through most of it here. If you'd like to replicate my results, this should provide adequate tools and information to do so (please post your own below!).HyperX FURY DDR4 is the perfect choice for gamers and content creators who want to update their system without going over the top with a DDR5 option. Its greatest advantage compared to regular RAMs is the low power consumption, which results in a cooler and quieter PC. Weather - Electrical storms can increase the ESD risk; unless absolutely necessary, try not to work on a computer during an electrical storm. In very dry areas, the air itself becomes a part of the electrostatic build-up mechanism every time there is an air flow (wind, air conditioning, blower) passing over an insulated surface.Do not let high humidity levels build a false confidence, and beware of corrosion problems with interconnects and other electrical interfaces. Cinebench is a pretty fun synthetic test to use. We relied upon the OpenGL benchmark, since that was the only one that would have any amount of impact from RAM differences. It runs a video and logs the FPS - pretty straight-forward stuff. This is more dependent upon the GPU and CPU than anything, but had some RAM variability.
