About this deal

However, the machine didn't feel as high quality to use - the tap felt quite flimsy and the drip tray was quite cheap looking. Fear not, there are plenty of affordable, budget-friendly options to choose from online, including your favourite - or next favourite - beer.

It claims to enhance the aroma and give you a smooth mouthfeel. But we tasted the same beer straight from the can and it didn’t taste noticeably different. Instead, you simply insert the bottle or can of beer you want to drink and it is dispensed through the machine. The Krups BeerTender is yet another beer dispensing system with its own proprietary kegs (similar to the PerfectDraft and Blade). These come in 5L sizes and mostly features the beer brand Heineken. There are other BeerTender compatible beers like Desperados and Affligem, but the variety is much less compared to PerfectDraft. Prepare your chosen beer in the dispenser, ensuring it's at the optimum drinking temperature for a crisp finish. Each type of beer requires a slight variation in the chill, so get prepared and know your temps. For example, an IPA excels at around 5 degrees Celsius. Grab your pint glass and chill it, either in the freezer or run it under a cold tap.

However, if you're someone with a bar or dedicated man cave (or just a really big kitchen) then this would be a nice luxury to treat yourself. Overall, we would highly recommend the Blade Professional Beer Pump. It’s one of the easiest ways to get pub quality draught beer at your home without any effort. We also liked the easy-to-read temperature display on the front and the indicator that tells you how full your keg is. Nevertheless, Royal Catering still dispenses excellent pub-quality draft beer every time. And with a less expensive price tag, it can be a worthwhile to buy for personal home consumption. What size you go for will really depend on you. If it’s mostly for personal consumption, then even the smaller dispensers (like the Sub) is all you’ll ever need. But suppose you regularly host a party at your flat. In that case, bigger systems might be more worthwhile, accommodating up to full-sized keg, which is around 50 litres. Gravity vs Gas Powered

The kegs for this machine are 2 litres - which is around 3.5 pints - so you don't need to be throwing a huge party to justify firing it up. Unlike a can, however, you can’t just open a keg and pour beer from it. You need to hook it up to a dispensing system. The dispenser pushes beer from the keg and into the tap faucet, using either a CO2 gas canister or gravity. We cover the wonders of the self-brewing Pinter 2 below but if you're after an upgrade, the 3rd iteration of the popular at-home beer-making kit brings all the fun of making your own beers but takes it one step further. Where's the new stuff? An active pour tap that extracts the brewer's beer with precision, drawing out foam, notes and bubbles for a perfect draught every time. This tap will adjust itself to the pressure built-up in the keg so you don't end up spurting it everywhere, and there's a range of fun colourways that are certain to catch an admiring eye at this year's BBQ.

Got SUB problems?

At the heart of the Beerkules is its UltraFast Cooling technology, capable of chilling a full keg to serving temps in just under 4 hours. And you can easily adjust the temperature of the beer, from 2 to 12 C, with either manual adjustments or any of the six presets. Are you serving a high alcohol Belgian beer? Crank it up to around 8C to enjoy all the subtle aromas and flavour characteristic of these kinds of brew. The pour of the Blade dispenser is excellent, with just the right amount of temperature and carbonation. And this was fortunately maintained right until the last pint.

You have two options for power, which is handy - it can be plugged into the mains or work off 2AA batteries.verifyErrors }}{{ message }}{{ /verifyErrors }}{{ Overall, the Philips PerfectDraft is one of the best beer dispensers in the UK that’s great for both personal and party use.

BLADE guarantees perfectly tapped beers at optimum drinking temperature. You can pour small 30 beers or 14 full pints from a BLADE Keg, of which there are a variety to choose from. We have popular beers; Heineken , Heineken 0.0 , Birra Moretti, Affligem , Tiger , Edelweiss Hefetrüb and more. We are continually updating and adding to our assortment so it is likely that you will see even more of your favourite beers in 8L keg soon! What is the Beerwulf BLADE? Overall, the small size of the Sub makes it much more suited for serving yourself excellent draught beer at home. CO2 beer dispensers are for you if you’re after the best draft experience that replicates what you’ll get in a pub. Some draft systems are also visually gorgeous and perfect for your home bar or man cave. Also, if you mostly drink craft beer kegs or brew your own, CO2 dispensers are the only way to tap one. Compatible Kegs The Fizzics system is a unique way to dispense beer from, not kegs, but bottles and cans. Like us, you might think, why would you go through all that trouble when you can easily drink the beer from the can or bottle? Or, you know, pour it into a glass? Other nifty features of the Beerkules include the beer volume gauge (always a welcome sight during parties!) and a universal connector for compatibility with both fresh and party kegs. You can choose from flavours that range from dark, roasty stouts, to light and hazy tropical pales.
