About this deal

Grundann Blood-eye lost his eye against an Orruk-Warboss, but took his great axe after he slayed him. The leather boots, a bit of fur and the large weapon is such a clear connection to a very classic barbarian design among the Godsworn hunt. This combines what we have left from the norse tribes / old chaos marauders, with a strong Conan vibe. I like how this is more a wild human and not that chaotic or frenzy as the Reavers are. The warband is inspired by the same condition, each fighter receives his better profile after he or her receives an upgrade.

Steelheart’s Champions are a Stormcast Eternals Warrior Chamber Bladeborn warband from Warhammer Underworlds Season 1. Jake Bentrup – Koatl’s Claw (3-2-0):Technically undefeated, Jake smashed people in the face with 12 Aggradons and a Carnosaur – hell yeah Jake! player, 6-round Grand Tournament in Ottawa, ON CA on August 19 2023. All the lists for this event can be found in Best Coast Pairings. The Showdown This warband must win the title of Bladeborn warband with the highest number of abilities available (3 for everyone, 4 for Karsus and 5 for Garrek). The Chaos Lord is a good candidate because he is such a formidable melee fighter, but he is also the most expensive of the three, so if you’re planning on running a Leader alongside an expensive Chaos Chosen and a horde of Marauders, he is not the best choice.

As every Bladeborn fighter is a specific character with their own tragic tale to tell, you can only include each of them once in your warband – there’s only one Mollog, after all!* Don’t want to use Bladeborn fighters as full members of your warband? You can take a Bladeborn Leader as an ally, instead – and they’ll be able to bring along their buddies into the bargain. Stormsire's Cursebreakers • Thorns of the Briar Queen • Eyes of the Nine • Zarbag's Gitz • Mollog's Mob • Godsworn Hunt • Ylthari's Guardians • Thundrik's Profiteers You can take a Bladeborn Leader as your warband Leader or you can take it as an Ally within the same grand alliance. In that case you can also take all fighters with the same Bladeborn runemark as allies.

player, 6-round Grand Tournament at Warhammer World in Nottingham, England GB on August 19 2023. All the lists for this event can be found in Best Coast Pairings. The ShowdownOur favorite Mollog's Mob cards from the warband expansion are, Earn Your Keep, Is It Asleep?, Flit, Hobble, There The Whole Time, Jabbertoad and Rooted to the Spot. An Eye For Weakness(Triple, Hedkrakka):increase by 3 the damage on critical hits on a targeted enemy fighter in range. Brent Evans – Barak Urbaz:Ironclad, 15 Thunderers and the typical buff pieces, with Gotrek along to fill the void previously occupied by 10-15 more Thunderers before their nerf Patient Lurkers rewards a more defensive playstyle, letting your opponent come to you before counter-charging them. There are some cards requiring you to be on feature tokens, but more importantly also some which you can score if your opponent is. A Mortis Engine is a surprising and interesting inclusion here. We’ll start with the downsides to running one first: its 210 points for a fairly fragile shooting platform that will do little more than sneeze if caught out in combat. That said, this thing is pretty useful as it can potentially do d3 mortal wounds to each enemy unit within 16″ (on a 4+ dice roll each time) in the shooting phase, and it has a pseudo Maelstrom ability that powers up as Ryan casts spells and once per battle can unleash the stored energy to each enemy unit within 6″, doing mortal wounds equal to the number of reliquary counters (maximum six). It also adds D3 to the number of models/wounds restored from Deathly Invocation, making all the summons in this list that much tougher to finish off.

Zharkus and Ghartok are Blood Warriors with Goreaxe and Gorefist, with access to same profile and abilities at an increased cost. Gikkit and Shank have the same identical profile of a Stab-grot (as they are grots) but for some reason they are also minions, meaning they can be bossed around by Krookgrin and Gikkit is a Warrior, giving him access to the Orruk abilities, while Shank has the runemark that allows the use of Sneaky Snares, the same as Torka, to prevent an enemy move or disengage. Here’s a few ideas for warbands that are both fun to play and embody the character and style of the Slaves to Darkness warbands. They aren’t competitive win-all lists, mind. Darkoath Wartribe Marshal the Bladestorm(Triple, all Arenai):increase by 1 the Toughness of all Arenai within range of this fighter. Face of Da Bad Moon(Double, Zarbag):an enemy within range needs to perform a bonus disengage action or take damage if they cannot. As for the scale, the models are rather large / tall, easy in the area of 32-35mm scale. To give you an idea of the size of the Darkoath barbarians, you can see Grundann in the third picture in the middle of a Fiend / Blood Warrior (left) and Reaver / Bloodreaver (right). As for Grawl, he's among the smallest of hound companions of the range, compared to a Flesh Hound of Khorne and a Gryphound. The later is not available within an Underworlds warband so far, which comes a bit as a surprise, as I'd expected one with the Farstriders.
