GAVISCON PEPPERMINT TABLETS may be used during pregnancy. GAVISCON PEPPERMINT TABLETS may be used during breastfeeding. Some medicines must not be taken at the same time as Gaviscon. This is because the medicines can affect how the other medicine works. They work in 2 ways: a combination of two antacids to neutralise excess stomach acid, and an alginate which forms a protective layer that floats on top of the stomach contents, keeping it away from the lining of the food pipe.

If you forget a dose, it is not necessary to double the dose next time, just carry on taking as before. 4.
