About this deal

This very much depends on your use case. If you only need to store the bikes outside at home, and don't need to bring a cover with you out and about then a large, sturdy option like the Storm Skin will likely be the best bet. I’ve literally just thrown my bike cover away, it had a massive hole in it due to the wind. Need a proper cover for my bike and this would do nicely. What material is it made of? And can it still keep your bike well-covered in even the most treacherous of conditions (particularly handy for those of us in the UK). Looks great and great coverage of the whole bike. Most covers say they are waterproof but are not great so this will be handy.

Keep Your Bike in Riding Shape: Best Bike Tool Kits ● Best Repair Stands ● Best Bike Pumps The Best Bike Covers Our fabric has been engineered with the highest possible UV protection, but for maximum performance and long-standing wear try and avoid extended exposure to direct sunlight, especially in summer. We would recommend regular rotation of your BikeParka to maximise its longevity. For all bicycle covers, waterproof qualities are essential. But here are some other pointers for you when deciding which to invest in: Absolutely! The best waterproof bike cover(s) will massively increase its shelf life, and will mean you’ll have far less time and money on bicycle maintenance– so it actually saves you money in the long term. This would be fantastic for my daughter who lives on an exposed hillside with nowhere to store her bike. Hope she can strap it to someting solid! For starters it comes in a variety of shiny metallic colours. This may not seem crucial to all of you, but it's a cheery bonus that elevates this cover above the masses for me. More importantly, however, a lot of thought has gone into the structure of the cover itself. It's made from heavy duty 68D 21oT Polyester Ripstop, PU coated and seam sealed to make it more weatherproof, and it reputedly offers high UV protection. It stuffs into its own little bag, which comes complete with Velcro straps allowing you to fasten it to your bike frame if the mood takes you. Claiming to fit bike lengths of up to 195cm and height of 120cm, it's intended to be a one-size-fits-all product, while a drawstring and toggle at the top and elastication at the bottom help tailor the fit to any given bike. An often overlooked feature of bike covers is ventilation. It might seem like a good idea to seal your bike as tightly as possible, but condensation can wreak havoc over time. Moisture build-up causes rust, and if you leave your bike sealed up for long periods you might get an unpleasant surprise when you go for a ride. Look for covers with at least some ventilation flaps/valves to let condensation escape. I’ve recently completed LEJOG on my old Mongoose Amasasuper hard tail mountain bike & thought it deserved a treat for getting me through the 1026 miles 🙂 Fathers day -Bikeparka a perfect gift- sorted. Seriously looking at Bike Vault for our office- great design.

All the covers on test here that were designed for outdoor use are sufficiently waterproof to withstand heavy rain. Some are more sturdy, but that won't necessarily keep your bike more dry. The materials will be more durable though, if product longevity is important to you.

The material has been made with the highest possible UV protection, but for best performance and long life, avoid direct sunlight, especially in summer. It is recommended that you rotate your BikeParka regularly to maximise its life. Clean your BikeParka as you would a good quality tent - cleaning with a sponge, warm water and natural soap / mild detergent. No machine washing / tumble drying. My precious road bike is currently garaged but with a leaky roof. The Bike Parka would come in handy. I have a Cyclemax electric bike which I love – and for that reason would very much appreciate the Bike Parka. It’s especially important to use a cover if you store your bike outside. If you live in the city, you’ve likely seen those poor bikes chained outside battling the elements ( and losing.) Even indoors, a cover reduces the possibility of grease and grime showing up on walls and floors. No matter where you park your bike, whether it be for a few hours or a few months, a cover is a small investment toward the maintenance and care of your favorite ride.
