Sometimes the advantages of being able to choose every single detail of your bathroom’s design can also be its downfall, with customers sometimes forgetting certain aspects or getting overwhelmed by choice when shopping online. Rebated wood is wood that has a groove cut into the edge - so you can slot the panel under the groove. One common misconception when purchasing a bath panel for your bath is matching the brand of the bath panel with the brand of the bath. Of course, this isn’t the case, with Bathroom City supply a number of different sized bath panels to suit any installation.Drill 2 wooden screws in at a 45-degree angle toward the floor at the bottom, going through the side and footing into the floor. Drill 2 shorter screws into the wood underneath the lip of the tub, also going at a 45-degree angle. To measure the height, run the tape measure from the top of the panel to the bottom of the plinth. Screw the panel into the plinth by placing screws every 1 foot (0.30 m) or so on both the top and bottom of the plinth. So, Plumbworld has created this guide to all things bath panels, and we’ll discuss how to fit a bath panel, the different types, how to cut them, and more… Explore our range of products today and select one of our excellent delivery options to ensure maximum convenience and reliability.

Using your pencil, make markings where the panel sits on the floor. This will be used as a guide for your wooden batten. Firstly, you’ll need to get your measurements, from the rim of the bath to the floor so you know the height you need the panel to be. If your tub is a unique shape, you may need to measure the length, too. Take your tape measure and measure from the top rim of the bath down to the floor. This will tell you what height you need to fit your panel at. You will need to use wood adhesive on the inside of the panel where the panel and the batten meet. Then you can fit your panel into place.

Some panels are made from an MDF type material which can then be modified easily to your bathroom by either staining or painting. When your panel - or panels - are ready, put them into position to see how it fits against the bath and wall. If you have made an “L”-shaped panel, it could be left free-standing if secure enough. However, there are options available for securing a panel in place.
