Abstract

During the 2 nd World War the billiard room, the first cottage to the east, was used for Catholic services when owned by Mr.Thomas Walsh of Walsh’s department store, Sheffield. The loft in Pool House is still partitioned off, this may have been used to house refugees who were there during the war.
