You can just give the food straight to your puppy as it is! However, always follow the feeding guideline to know how much to feed.

If you wanted to feed a mixed diets, perhaps wet and dry food, then be sure to alter the feeding quantities accordingly to avoid over-feeding your dog. If possible feed growing puppies from 4 weeks onwards to appetite (alongside their mother’s milk), feeding meals little and often 3-4 times per day. To introduce Wagg Puppy we recommend moistening the food with warm water. Gradually reduce the amount of added liquid over time until your puppy is eating solid food. At 6 months old meals can be reduced to 2 times per day. The food is made into small biscuits which helps keep the teeth clean and remove tartar when the dog bites and chews it!

For large and extra-large breed puppies aim for slow and steady growth (reaching adult size can take longer for these breeds). If your puppy shows signs of becoming overweight, decrease the amount fed to keep your puppy in trim and active condition. It is important for your puppy’s health not to let them become over weight, consult a veterinarian if you are concerned about their weight.

If possible, increase the amount of exercise your dog takes. This can include throwing a ball for him or her whilst out on your normal walks. If you currently feed any treats, use part of your dogs daily food allowance instead and leave the treats out. The main ingredient is cereals - not very digestible for dogs - diets with a meat main ingredient are much healthier. The next biggest ingredient is 'meat and animal derivatives'which means various meats and animal body parts - not the best meat source. The diet contains no artificial colourants or flavours, but does include preservatives. Overall, the diet is complete so has everything your pet needs, but some ingredients may not be digestible enough and the diet does not have a recipe as good as other brands. With added zinc and a balanced ratio of omega 6 & 3 fats to help support a healthy, supple skin & glossy coat.
