That is why, I try not to read them and when I read one very occasionally, I have a problem with giving it 5 stars because of this very reason even if everything else in the book is good enough. Fantasize more until he MAKES you his fiance (MAKES is a keyword if you didn't notice because you would never have a choice) I swear those two were so crazy! Haha! I mean we have Nico who’s not only a young and well-established Don but also a controlling, possessive, unapologetic, dominant and relentless bastard and we have Elena who’s the daughter of a Don and so innocent, obedient, cheeky and naïve that it hurts! XD

However, when he meets her elder sister, Elena, he realizes that he is strongly affected by her. Although he doesn't want to want a woman everyone in the city wants, he can't help it and he wants her! i get the hype now. it’s been a hot minute since i read anything mafia related and this book just proves how much i love the genre. Nico was infatuated with Elena! He was crazy about her and so possessive! Yet he had a soft and gentle side and treated her with respect and care! He couldn't stop thinking about her and followed her every move! 🥰

While this book didn't exactly meet my expectations, I'm still glad that I read it, because it gave me Nico. Additionally it was refreshing, cause it's not your typical arranged-marriage mafia book with a virgin heroine. Danielle Lori gets bonus points for writing angst the way she did it without including cheating. That’s how you do it. I- 🥺🥺🥺 my babies are so precious. I love them so much omg. If something would ever happen to them, I'd burn the world down. And Trust me Ms.Lori it worked. You made me almost lose my mind. The sexul frustration was pouring out of the book. I've never read a build-up and development like this one 😇. Six months had passed, and I swore she brought it up every day. She was like a dog with a bone, and I honestly thought she enjoyed the mistake I’d made because she finally had something to chastise me about. Nico and his hair fisting- no bc when he wraps his fist in her hair twice? BRB going to part my hair with a chainsaw rq ✋

My girl is selfless af. She would walk barefoot in the snow to give some prostitute her shoes and give money to the ones in need. Gianna is the best and I truly thought I couldn't love her more, but then she had to go and say THIS to the love of her life: I didn’t know what came over me, but I suddenly felt free of that name—maybe because he’d never met that girl before. I wanted to be someone different. Especially to him, for some inexplicable reason. Isn’t this exactly how you expect a mafia lunch to go? XD I swear when it comes to those typical mafia stereotypes this book had it all! And tell you what? I loved it! *lol* Which is kind of interesting because I’m usually one of those people that don’t like any stereotypes and always tries to avoid them as good as possible. The only thing that was missing for me was a bit more action. But it was dam near perfect. One of my favorite of the year for sure. Can’t wait for Gianna and Christian book! ♥️ Look I might have considered about liking Nicolas but because the following sentences exists I will forever hate him:

Here I was thinking a gentleman apologized when running into a woman.” Still, what I didn’t like was the fact that Elena was slut shamed by as good as every member of the Cosa Nostra (including her entire family) just because she had sex with a guy before she got married. It was her first time for heaven’s sake and she was treated like a whore just because of it. Like damaged goods you couldn’t sell anymore. Which was wrong on so many different levels that I couldn’t help but feel an urge to slap sense into all those cavemen! *grrr*
