About this deal

Moyes' books have been translated into forty-six languages, have hit the number one spot in twelve countries and have sold over forty million [6] copies worldwide. [1] Louisa Clark has arrived. In New York that is. Her old friend Nathan has gotten her a job as an assistant to Agnes Gopnik, a wealthy married woman who has trouble fitting in and who more than anything, needs a friend. For Louisa its an opportunity. To see the world and to do what Will always told her to do. And this time, Louisa takes it. New York. NEW YORK.

Moyes wisely knows that life-changing events don’t always change our lives for the better. . . . After You may not be the sequel you expect, but it is the sequel you needed.” —Entertainment Weekly I’m sorry,’ he said finally. ‘About the other night. I never wanted to … Well, it was badly judged.’ Lou’s love life: ”I think I needed a distraction from the loss of my sister. I built a house so I didn’t have to think. I built a house because I needed to believe in the future. But now it’s done and I look around these empty rooms, I feel nothing. Maybe some pride that I actually finished the job but apart from that? Nothing at all.” The Last Letter from Your Lover (2021), film directed by Augustine Frizzell, based on novel The Last Letter from Your Lover, distributed by NetflixAs she begins to mix in New York high society, Lou meets Joshua Ryan, a man who brings with him a whisper of her past. Before long, Lou finds herself torn between Fifth Avenue where she works and the treasure-filled vintage clothing store where she actually feels at home. And when matters come to a head, she has to ask herself: Who is Louisa Clark? And how do you find the courage to follow your heart—wherever that may lead? Moyes' favourite book in childhood was National Velvet by Enid Bagnold. She cites Behind the Scenes at the Museum by Kate Atkinson as a book that made her want to be a better writer, [15] and she is inspired by authors such as Nora Ephron, [44] Marian Keyes, Lisa Jewell, Jonathan Tropper, and Jane Austen. [5] Personal life [ edit ] She earned a journalism degree from City University [11] as well as a degree at Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, London University. [12] In the entirety of the series, I can truthfully say this is the most unfulfilling, saddening book, because it has done an injustice to its protagonist. Louisa Clark deserves better. Across these books, it's impossible not to notice that she has the kindest, most selfless heart, yet she continues to fall in love with selfish men. Men, who ultimately are charming but in likeness are also bullies. Her selflessness is her downfall because she leaves behind her pride, and her own sense of self's value to be stomped on.

Louisa is, in fact, Still Her. But she’s growing. When you think about who she was when she first met Will Traynor, working in that cafe, to who she is today, hailing cabs off Park Avenue and going to protests to keep neighborhood libraries open and befriending rich older ladies and wealthy gazillionaires, she is a different person. Paris for One and Other Stories (2015), collection of 10 short stories and 1 novella: ISBN 0735221073 "Paris for One", "Between the Tweets", "Love in the Afternoon", "A Bird in the Hand", "Crocodile Shoes", "Holdups", "Honeymoon in Paris" (novella), "Last Year's Coat", "Thirteen Days with John C", "Margot", "The Christmas List" Moyes, Jojo (25 January 2018). "How a 58kg rescue dog changed my life". The Times . Retrieved 25 January 2018. (subscription required)With a wide array of characters and all the characters eventually, bring about the overall aspect of the novel. Sheltering rain This is one of the initial novels that was published by Jojo Moyes and it improved her spot among the top selling authors worldwide. I didn’t devour this book like I did Me Before You or its sequel After You. It took me 4 sittings over a few months to finish it. But it wasn’t because the story wasn’t good. It wasn’t because Louisa isn’t still as adorable and flawed as she always has been. It’s a story about life after. About moving on. About next steps. About being in your 30s. About finding yourself. And while the setting is interesting, new characters have personalities that make you want to know more and Louisa is still Louisa, it didn’t have the obsessabilty of Me Before You. But I think it is a stronger book than After You. Moyes always creates characters you care about and Still Me is full of them' Daily Express, Best Holiday Reads I love Lou as a character, she is so ridiculously relatable and I see parts of myself in her. It was wonderful to see her story continue, she deserves happiness and I am glad that Jojo Moyes gave it to her. <3

The key was making sure that anyone you allowed to walk beside you didn't get to decide which you were, and pin you down like a butterfly in a case. The key was to know that you could always somehow find a way to reinvent yourself again." Louisa Clark is a character that will probably stay with you forever, I mean Hell, I still think about Me Before You till this day and I never regret going into this series, I love it! I'm always delighted to know about her and her life, it's like going on an adventure to be honest, it's an amazing experience. Jojo Moyes is one of the highly rated authors and she has won romantic novel of the year twice. Moreover, one of her book has been translated into 11 different languages. Jojo Moyes was born on august 4, 1969 in London and was named after the song that was released by an all time band The Beatles’. Early life Jojo attended Bedford new college and royal Holloway at the University Of London and it is here that she was inspired to be a writer.Once again, Moyes delivers a heart-wrenching and relatable book about love and loss that will stay with you long after you’ve finished.” — InStyle.com I really didn’t see that one coming but OMG! I was so happy for her! It might have been a late coming out but better late than never and Eddie was soo good for her! She made her happy and that’s the most important thing. Even Lou’s dad who’s really conservative could see and accept that so I’m really glad that Treena and Eddie met! Plus YAY finally an f/f couple in Jojo Moyes books. XD Louisa moves to Park Avenue in NYC to help her friend Nathan who looks after an upper class family. She'll be a 'friend' or 'assistant' to Agnes, the younger second-wife of Mr. Gopnik who was mentioned in the second book. There are various other staff in the Gopnik household and apartment building who Louisa interacts with, as well as some new friends she makes in NYC. Lou goes home for Christmas to visit her parents and sister, as well as continues to date Sam, the paramedic, from prior books. The story is about her acclimation to a different kind of life than she had in England, as well as the process to help her figure out who she wants to be. Despite all that's happened to her, she still has more to learn... I love that about this story! There's romance, mystery, secrets, friendships, touristy fun, and decisions to make. Coupled with this, she uses numerous aspects of her personality and life to mold and develop the characters until they sync fully to the storyline in the novel. Jojo Moyes is married and has three children; she has many animals around her. She denotes that the animals give her the inspiration to write.
