About this deal

Mortals still indulge their desire and obsessions beyond all sense of decency, and glory in forbidden excess – and while such horrors persist, so too will the followers of Slaanesh. Where once the Dark Prince compelled his subjects to greater depths of depravity, his greater daemons now rule in his stead. Champions of Slaanesh, however, still grow in power, gaining dark blessings and gifts… This is a great-value box set that gives you an immediate collection of fantastic Daemons of Slaanesh miniatures, which you can assemble and use right away in games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar! You’ll receive:

Contents: 1 x Plague Priest Plague Furnace (Hero) / Grey Seer on Screaming Bell (Hero), 1 x Plagueclaw / Warp Lightning Cannon (Artillery), and 20 x Plague Monks (Battleline in a pure Pestilens army) Included in the box is an exclusive Warscroll Battalion rules sheet – Cavalcade of Excess – allowing you to collect, assemble and play with your new miniatures right away! Related products Each box will provide enough conversion bits for many other armies and since you will need plenty of Daemonettes and Seekers you will most likely buy many of these boxes. In their form, they take closely after Papa Nurgle himself: Great Unclean Ones are vast, corpulent, vaguely humanoid mountains of rotting flesh and free-flowing pus. This ‘holy’ appearance shows off their scale and power in battle, but also signifies their stature and favor inNurgle’s putrid court. The old version of this with the Kabals stuff in felt a lot better than this one does. That said, you can at least get somewhere with this – all of Succubi, Wyches, and Venoms are good units you’ll want for a budding Drukhari army, and Reavers are OK I guess. What would have been really nice is if instead of replacing the old box, we got something like the Daemons of X boxes for Kabals, Covens, and Wych Cults, but alas.Until their Warhammer 40k codex comes out (which won’t be before Summer 2024), there’s really very little in the rules to say you shouldn’t mix and match to your heart’s content. The second of the 2 Cities of Sigmar boxes that came out with the Battletome, this time its the chance of the old plastic Dwarves to take the turn in the spotlight. The Orks box has the dubious honour of being the only Start Collecting without a legal HQ choice in it, thanks to force organisational changes in 8th edition. The contents aren’t terrible however and if you’re building an Ork horde you’re going to need savings wherever you can get them. Nobz may not be an especially optimal unit for Orks right now, but it’s an extraordinarily characterful kit full of useful bitz. Most Lesser Daemons of Tzeentch areshapeless, ever-transforming, diminutive creatures known as ‘Horrors’. Ingeneric fantasy terms, they’re ‘minor elementals’– walking agglomerations of a particular strain of magic, able to change their shape and throw that magic at their foe in projectile form. Any Hedonites of Slaanesh force is going to want at least one of these boxes, as when you first start out they can form a nice little core to your forces – but when you eventually develop out your forces to a full 2000 points you can phase some of these models out and use them as forces to bring on thanks to your summon mechanic – an essential buy in our opinion.

All in all they dont really do anything particularly well and more exist as a novelty. Scenery Fane of Slaanesh Daemonettes of Slaanesh, armed with piercing claws, featuring a host of extra part and accessories for customization. Contents: 1 Herald on Blood Throne (Hero), 10 x Bloodletters (Battleline) and 3 x Bloodcrushers (Battleline if General is Skullmaster) Basically exploding 6s. If you roll an unmodified 6 to hit with any of your units, you get 2 hits. You still need to make wound and save rolls for them as normal.

Tzeentch Daemons

This, like Start Collecting Anvilgard before it can be used in any Cities of Sigmar army. Don’t let the name fool you! Similar to the other mono-Chaos gods, you can include units marked with Slaanesh even if they’re not in the battletome. This actually comes up a little bit more often in Slaanesh than other gods because Slaanesh has almost no Mortal units, consisting almost entirely of Daemons. In most cases, this isn’t a problem. Its less variety but they mostly hit all the bullet points you wanted anyway. However due to the restraints around a Syll’Esskan Host list, you might need to branch out a bit. Common choices for Mortals from Slaves to Darkness are Chaos Warriors and Sorcerer Lords of Slaanesh. Leaders Keeper of Secrets But the Bladebringer is a good option (12 points) giving the ability to choose the spell when summoned from the lore of Slaanesh and worst-case scenario, becomes another 7 depravity points when he/she dies. Contents: 1 Terrorgheist (Behemoth, Batteline in Gristlegore) / Ghoul King on Terrorgheist (Leader, Behemoth) / Zombie Dragon (Behemoth, Battleline in Gristlegore) / Vampire Lord on Zombie Dragon (Leader, Behemoth), 3 x Crypt Horrors (Battleline in Blisterskin)/ Crypt Flayers (Battleline in Hollowmourne) / Vargheists (Battleline in Soulblight) and 10 x Crypt Ghouls.

Daemonettes of Slaanesh, armed with piercing claws, featuring a host of extra part and accessories for customisation. There are many powerful and versatile units across the Hedonites of Slaanesh faction, and some more, in particular, are about to see some significant benefits from the new edition. Sigvald, Prince of SlaaneshTwisted, one-horned humanoids made of diseased flesh, endlessly counting as they shamble forward, armed with rusty blades

For a time Invaders were a popular choice in the meta, though since then Syll’Esske’s Host and Godseekers gained some traction as well. They get to have 3 generals to represent their more anarchic nature and given how dependent you are on your Heroes, you will not be short of candidates. Allegiance Abilities Figureheads of the Dark Prince If a daemonette rolls an unmodified 6 on a wound roll, deal a mortal wound instead. Not bad, if you fill your battleline with daemonettes and you have the points maybe worth considering but probably costs too much now for the occasional mortal wound. Seeker Cavalcade Contents: 1 Lord-Aquilor (Hero), 5 x Vanguard Hunters (Batteline if General is Lord-Aquilor), 3 x Vanguard Palladors, 3 x Glyph-HoundsWheel of Excrutiation –Casting Value 5. Predatory endless spell that moves 12″, whenever it passes over an enemy unit roll 6 dice, and deal a mortal wound for each roll under the targets save characteristic. Not bad against more squishy targets, particularly Heroes. Has been nerfed heavily –Slaanesh has been hit with a double whammy with fairly recent updates that both weakened its core mechanics and also raised the point cost. It has yet to be seen just how much this hurts. Unfortunately this box is pretty lousy for pure Nighthaunts. Hexwraiths are underwhelming on the tabletop and Spirit Hosts are usually passed over for the more disposable and flexible Chainrasps. Pure Nighthaunt can’t even take the Mortis Engine either, leaving it a dead weight for the brunt of the box’s cost. Contents: 1 x Ishrann Soulrender (Hero), 10 x Namarti Thralls (Battleline) and 3 x Arkhelian Guard (Batteline if General is Arkhelian Hero)
