Unlike his original Japanese counterpart, he never dueled Lauren Shiba. The reason for this is because he stayed in his Japanese form during the fight and did not change into his Nighlok form. When Madimot invades the human world, he reveals that he took control of the TigerZord in the last battle with the team led by Jayden's father. He soon tries to take control of Mike, but Kevin's mind is taken over instead when he pushes Mike out of the way; consequently, Kevin, under possession, is forced to fight the other Rangers. Jayden uses the 'resist' symbol to prevent Madimot from taking over him, too. After Madimot escapes, he soon reappears with Kevin and threatens to make Kevin commit suicide if Jayden doesn't fight him. Jayden uses the 'resist' symbol power to free Kevin from Madimot's mind control. He then uses the same symbol on the TigerZord, returning the Zord to the Rangers and giving Jayden a new Zord in his arsenal. Whether or not Antonio could have ever had one has one is unknown but it is unlikely due to him not possessing symbol power of any kind. Mike and Emily were both in the front line to greet the Mega Rangers before their assault against the remainder of the Armada. All the Samurai Rangers were present, save for Lauren. Though he was stunned, Jayden allowed the warrior to run him through and proceeded to strike Deker down in one slash. Uramasa was shattered, broken in two. Surprised by the Red Ranger's audacity, Deker complimented Jayden on his win and stumbling towards the edge of the cliff, he fell over the edge and disappeared in a puff of purple flames. The Fire Smasher is the Red Ranger's individual weapon. It resembles a Zanbato (means " horse slaying sword"). The Red Ranger is also able to change his Fire Smasher into a cannon mode powered by a disc from one of the auxiliary zords. The disc is placed on a peg close to the bracing area, while the other rangers' color disks are placed on one blunt side, armed for propulsion. In the final episode, Jayden used the Double Disc to summon two Fire Smashers.Like Dayu, Deker's unique position as a Human/Nighlok allows him to leave the Netherworld whenever he wishes without needing to return to the Sanzu River like the other Nighloks and Master Xandred. As he is not a part of Master Xandred's group, the two are enemies. Xandred despises him for his half-human state and constant meddling in his plans to destroy the Samurai Rangers, once misunderstanding his intervention as "helping" the humans despite Deker's protests to otherwise. As a cursed man with an unquenchable desire to fight, Deker roamed the world for a worthy opponent to battle. Uramasa eventually leads him to Jayden, the Red Samurai Ranger.
