About this deal

One downside of the E200 is it has a long charge time of 12 hours. This should be fine if you use it once a day and charge it overnight, but because the charge time is so long you need to plan for it. span>

Maximum Speed (MPH)
9.94mph
All the power is now in your hands with the Razor Power Core S85 Electric Scooter. It features a thumb-activated throttle, a hand operated front brake in addition to the rear-fender brake, creating a dual-braking system for better control. The 8" (200 mm) pneumatic front tyre delivers a smoother ride on uneven terrain and the flat-free rear tyre gives a solid ride and the rear-wheel drive apportions greater weight to the rear, enhancing both drive traction and ease of steering. Scooters that are rain and puddle proof are suitable for use in the rain and puddles and scooters with limited splash resistance are not suitable for use in heavy rain but can with stand light splashes. Kids scooters aren't waterproof unless stated - this one is not. Do not use in the wet as you can damage the battery, which can become dangerous.

This is the maximum rider weight that your product can support. We strongly recommend abiding by this for safety and warranty reasons. This is the maximum speed that can be reached, when riding in optimum conditions. Please consider the riding terrain, weather and riding style to achieve maximum speed.

Gabe's verdict:

One of the plus points of this scooter is its long run time. The scooter has up to 80 minutes of continuous use, which is double the time of other Razor models (where the battery lasts for around 40 minutes). A similar scooter to the Razor E90 is the Ripsar kids electric scooter. It's also aimed at the age 8 plus group but there are a few differences.

Another plus point of the RCB electric scooter is that it has a one step folding system making it easy to store or transport. The scooter weighs 8kg which is fairly light when compared to some other electric scooters, although there are lighter options. The Razor Power Core S80 is similar to the Power Core S85. The one main difference is the front wheel. Whereas the S85 has a pneumatic front tyre, both tyres on the S80 are flat and airless. The benefit of this is that the tyres won't require much maintenance. You can't get a puncture on an airless tyre. However, it also means the ride will be a little less comfortable, with no cushioning for bumps on the road. However this won't be a problem if you're mainly riding the scooter on flat, smooth paths. The build quality is impressive. It feels like Razor have used their decades of micro scooter experience to build something bombproof. The S85 owners’ manual comes with detailed instructions on how to replace parts if anything goes wrong, right down to the brakes and tyres. Not everyone wants to be doing this themselves, but it just shows that Razor care about their customers, which is nice to see. Manufacturer specs It is essential to wear a helmet when using an electric scooter. These are motorised vehicles and you should also consider knee and elbow protectors. Make sure your child understands how to stop and start safely.

It can travel to speeds up to 14mph, which is very speedy. However, like all scooters the speed will be affected by the weight of the rider and the terrain. Heavier riders will go slower. The scooter can also climb a 15% gradient hill. It has a range of 5 to 8 miles on each charge which again is dependant on the rider's weight and terrain. A hub motor and the scooter's tyre choice also mean it's a relatively maintenance free scooter. There's not a great deal that should go wrong with the Razor S85, even after your child has put it through its paces. It's rear wheel drive, which, I have to say, is always a bit more fun than front wheel drive. span>

There's a lot to like about the RCB Electric scooter. Designed for 8 to 16 year olds, it's suitable for kids between 130cm and 170cm. The height of this electric scooter can be adjusted to 3 height levels at 84cm, 94cm and 104cm. With a rider weight capacity of 80kg, 11 year olds should be able to use the scooter into their teens. The scooter has a range of 12 to 16 kilometres and can reach speeds of up to 12.4mph. Both are dependent on the terrain and weight of the rider. It has a 6 hour charge time (compare this to 12 hours on some other electric scooters and it seems a massive plus point). The urethane front wheel tyre absorbs the worst impacts. The airless rear tire is made from TP for a smoother ride and increased traction. As the wheels are solid, you don't need to worry about punctures. The Razor Power A2 electric scooter is similar to the Razor A5 (featured above) except on a smaller scale. It has smaller wheels and a shorter handlebar. It also has a shorter charge time, a shorter handlebar and is at a slightly lower price point. The handlebar can be adjusted to 3 different height settings at 85cm, 90cm and 95cm. It can also be folded down. An initial charge of 14 hours is required for the first battery charge. After this, the battery recharges in around 8 hours. The combination of its 12v battery and its hub motor will produce a top speed of 10mph, and a continuous run time of 35 minutes at a time, which is a little on the short side. Construction
