About this deal

Out n About Nipper 360. I was still running with this with a giant 3 and a half year old sitting comfortably" - Mumsnet user, Seacow87 Our verdict The Little Nipper Double didn't stop me doing any of my usual tasks. I could get it on and off the bus quite easily. We took the Little Nipper Double to the park and I was quite surprised how easily it was to push on the grass and on the gravel. When my granddaughter fell asleep I was able to lay her seat completely flat which I liked as it was more comfortable for her.

Out ‘n’ About are a British brand with products designed right here in the UK and the whole range is loved by parents across the country for its excellent quality and great value for money pushchairs. Better folding mechanism would be nice, this can be quite fiddly. Tested by mum Keira-Jayne Blundell for the M&B Awards 2016: The seat can be made more snug but adding in the liner that comes with the Little Nipper. It is a nice touch, but the material it is made from does appear a little low budget. Suitable from: Birth to 22kg (around four years) | Weight: 10.8kg | Folded dimensions: 88 x 60 x 44 cm | Harness type: 5-point | Adjustable handlebar: Yes What we like

Pros

The seats look narrow, but in reality were among the roomiest we tested, with a solid foot plate and comfortable padded liners that can also be removed. The reclining mechanism uses a clip and straps that feel secure, even with a larger toddler weighing down the seat. Lightweight, streamlined and lovely to push, this buggy is both stylish and comfortable. As a mum to a daughter who is partial to a buggy nap, the Out N About Nipper Sport has been the ideal choice for me while on the go, whether that's a jog through fields or a walk into town. The suspension is nothing short of amazing, which makes this buggy a breeze to push over bumpy ground - a lifesaver during my many off-road adventures. About the author I had a double Nipper when I nannied for a toddler and took my own toddler with me. Fantastic to push around, one handed steering even when laden with the older siblings school bags and scooters" - Mumsnet user, SingingMyOwnSpecialSong Our verdict Combining style and sturdiness, the Mountain Buggy Terrain comes with both 12- and 16-inch air-filled wheels that can be interchanged depending on whether you’re running up muddy hills or jogging along smooth tarmac. I really liked this pram, it's nice and compact, folds in to one so is easier to put up and down, both seats recline, it's easy to push, it is reasonably priced and was comfy for older/taller children. It is also suitable from birth which means it could be the only pram you ever need to buy. The hoods come quite far over so can properly shade the children and seats.

I actually prefer this though as it means the underside of the buggy is kept clear while jogging and doesn’t get muddy when I take it off-roading. The storage pouch is big enough to store the Nipper Sport raincover plus a very small changing bag or changing station and a few groceries. Coverage from the hood is good especially with the sun visor extended. It is a shame then that you cannot hold the fabric tight when the hood is pulled forward. With the hood deployed, it all looks a little saggy; in addition, the hood is very noisy with a rather unfortunate low quality feel to the ratchet. On top of the hood there is a viewing window which is held in place with Velcro. Up at the top, the Out'n'About Little Nipper has a versatile handle that moves from 104cm to 77cm - its very lowest position. It has 7 positions across this range so everyone should find a height that is comfortable. The handle is foam covered and features a wrist strap in the centre. For me, there is one small problem. The handle is quite narrow positioning my hands too close together. I feel this compromises ultimate maneuverability, however this can be resolved by putting the handle right to its highest position and holding the outer ends that are now upright. ChassisThis pushchair is a good multi terrain pushchair, although it struggled with small 'lips' such as 1 inch kerbs it jolted rather than glided over. The shopping basket was large and easily accessible. The pushchair folded easily. Weight: The lighter the overall weight of the pram, the easier it is to push, especially if you’re transporting an older child across uneven terrain. Look for a lightweight option with an aluminium frame. The Little Nipper can be bought as a single for one child or a double for two and can be used from birth to approximately 4 years old, which is also great if your toddler gets tired when they’re a little older too. From birth the seat unit has a full recline which is perfect to keep your baby comfortable and the 5 point harness offers great peace of mind that they are strapped in safe and securely. As your little one grows, the plastic footrest is extremely durable under muddy feet and can easily be wiped clean after every adventure whilst the large sun canopy will protect from all the elements come rain or shine! While most regular three-wheel buggies feature a swivel front wheel, the Out N About Nipper Sport V4 has what most running buggies have: a fixed front wheel. Admittedly, this took me a bit of getting used to during those first couple of outings, but the frame is so lightweight that the front wheel can easily be lifted off the ground when changing direction. It’s good news from the moment the box arrives. The Nipper Double 360 V4 arrives almost fully assembled – chassis, seats and hoods in place. All you’ll need to do is pop the wheels on and go.

I thought this product was fantastic and my children really enjoyed travelling in it, it's lightweight, easy to use and comfy for the kids. I have tested this on a 18-month and 3-year-old and it has been just as easy to push around bearing in mind the weight difference of the kids! Very impressed with it considering the price. It's used daily on rough, hilly moorland and no issues yet" - Mumsnet user, IamnotwhouthinkIam Our verdict I like that this pram comes with a padded bumper bar as standard for added safety and comfort (it's also ideal for attaching pram toys), and the bar also has a cover that can be removed for washing. The bumper bar can also be clipped into place in two different ways depending on your chosen seat recline angle. For parents who like a lot of buggy storage, the Nipper Sport may disappoint. It features a mesh storage pouch that sits underneath the seat unit rather than a full storage basket. This buggy is world-facing only, which may be a deal-breaker for parents with younger children (my daughter, on the other hand, loves facing outwards), and it also can’t be used with a carrycot. I would have liked if the handle bar could be adjusted to the other side so that it could be rear and forward facing. I like having the option of interacting with them when there isn't much to see or when they are upset and need comforting. I can imagine it would also be nicer for twin babies as the mum could face them and keep an eye on them. Tested by mum Katie Myers for the M&B Awards 2017: The only thing that would have put me off buying this pram is that you couldn't fit a car seat on and so you might have to wake a sleeping baby but once the child or children are passed that age it would be the best pram in my opinion. No one pram can have everything and I imagine making it big enough for a car seat may spoil some other features. Tested by mum Julie Wakeford for the M&B Awards 2017: It would be nice for the folding mechanism to be a little easier, the folding combination on the handlebar can sometimes be fiddly and time consuming. Tested by grandma Maria Thompson for the M&B Awards 2016: More suspension so added comfort for baby and less jolting and stopping short at small kerbs. Tested by mum Simon White for the M&B Awards 2016:

The one-hand recline is handy for dealing with snoozing babies mid-run and the supportive padded seat offers a smooth ride. It’s almost ready to go straight from the box as the seat comes attached to the frame but you’ll need to use a bike pump to inflate the wheels before popping them on the chassis. It’s pricey but it’s well engineered, extremely sturdy and very easy for runners and walkers to manoeuvre. The Nipper Double has a reputation as an off-road buggy, and no wonder – its rear suspension and air-filled tyres make for a smooth ride over even the bumpiest woodland trail. But our tester found it equally well-suited to urban life, as the Out n About double buggy showed itself unfazed by school runs, park trips and errands in town. The manufacturer says that the Out N About Nipper Sport V4 can be used from birth, however tests carried out by Which? have found that the harness isn’t able to hold a newborn at its tightest setting, which is why we’re recommending it as a buggy only suitable for children aged six months and older. The Little Nipper's basket measures 40cm x 27cm x 15cm. It is not huge and access is a little compromised, however you will get a bag of shopping and a bit more in there if you try. The basket is made from a mesh material without solid base. I think weight will be more of a problem than volume.
