You're not going to mistake it for a high-end device - it doesn't have the same kind of heft you get from a more premium aluminium or stainless steel build - but the OPPO A17 is nonetheless a step up the plain old plastic you tend to get on these kinds of handsets. The faux leather doesn't feel that different to the actual leather case I use on my daily driver, and since it's fake, it's not going to wear down. But AI depends on processor strength, and the MediaTek SoC does not have enough to make a significant difference with this 50MP sensor. It takes decent pictures in day or office light but is inadequate in low light.

There’s options for portrait shooting and low-light photography. using the combo on the rear, with the front camera offering a Fill Light option which lights up the screen if you need a little more light. Overall, it’s not a performance focused phone, but it does run apps and games well once they’re loaded into memory. It’s more suited to running one app at a time, so if that’s your plan this is a decent option.
