About this deal

What remains an intrinsic element to the gameplay is that sometimes the mechanism just doesn’t work and turning the crank creates only frustration and groans from the players at the malfunctioning machinery. Despite this, or for some players perhaps because of it, the game has enduring appeal and at the time of writing it’s still being published - currently by Hasbro. In 2004, forty-one years after it first went on sale, it was one of the UK’s 50 top- selling toys. The sense of wonder and joy at building an overly complicated contraption and watching the cause and effect of the machinery performing a simple task (or sometimes not!) is central to the game’s popularity. Example: If you are the first player to land on a Build space, you would place part #1 (Base A) on the game- board. The next player to land on a Build space would position part #2 (Gear Support) in place and so on until the Mouse Trap is completed.

EASY SET UP: This edition of the Mouse Trap game for kids is easier to set up than previous versions, so kids can get right to the mouse-catchin' action Roll the die and moving your mouse around the board, building pieces of the mouse trap as they go. The competition really gets going once the trap is built. Analyse the situation and determine the next best step. Set off a chain reaction and trap your opponents' mouse-shaped game pieces to steal their cheese.Take turns building the Mouse Trap as you move around the gameboard. Then use the Mouse Trap to try to capture your opponents' mice.

Build Spaces. The Build spaces have numbers printed on them (2, 2-3, 2-3-4). When a mouse lands on a Build space and the number of players in the game matches any one of the numbers on the space, build one part of the Mouse Trap and collect one cheese piece from the cheese pile. KIDS GAMES FOR 2-4 PLAYERS: The Mouse Trap family game for kids is a lively indoor game for playdates, sleepovers, and rainy days. pieces from the Cheese pile. If the Cheese pile is empty, you may take any pieces you are entitled to from the opponent with the most Cheese pieces. If two or more opponents are tied for the most Cheese pieces, you may take them all from one opponent or divide the amount between them. When you land on one of these spaces, take the indicated number of Cheese pieces from the Cheese pile. If the Cheese pile is empty, take the Cheese pieces from the opponent with the most Cheese pieces. The weight of the metal marble catapults the diver M through the air and into the washtub N, causing the cage O to fall from the top of the post P and trap the unsuspecting mouse.

If the trap fails to capture the mouse, the opposing player immediately moves his or her mouse to the Safe space. If more than one mouse is on the Cheese Wheel space, they may all be captured (or missed) together. They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays.

Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands) may take longer to reach you.
