About this deal

There’s a different kind of thrill when it comes to pussy on the road. The unknown of who it’ll be, the excitement of where it’ll happen, the satisfaction that I don’t have to see them ever again if I don’t want to. That’s how I like it.” The romance was actually really good. I loved Stevie and Zanders together. They had a genuine well developed connection. Their conversations were believable. This book had so many cute and romantic scenes which were so well written. Again, I can’t believe how well-written this was and how it had a good storyline, but at the same time so many beginner-level mistakes that destroyed everything (for me), including the rating. There was opportunity for more therapy elements to have been incorporated into the story, especially when things went downhill for Zander, but it was missed. Which I don’t understand, since therapy did play a significant role in the story.

i’m so disappointed and kind of sad that i didn’t love and enjoy this book as much as i wanted to. all the right ingredients were present to depict the perfect romance and with author’s writing i had no doubt that i would literally devour this story. my problem is; i felt no spark between the protagonists, no chemistry or alchemy. i didn’t root for them. i didn’t hate them but i didn’t love them either. everything felt bland for at least the first 70% of the plot but the 30% left got me all the feels and i wish it was sufficient to say i enjoyed this book. There’s SO MUCH to love about this, but it was the playful banter that really won me over at the start. It’s a very long book by a new-to-me author, so I knew that it’d need to have a strong start to have any chance of holding my interest – and it definitely did. While Zanders’ personality wasn’t immediately likable, I could tell that there was something intriguing lurking underneath the surface. I was also drawn in by the instant chemistry between these two, the way Stevie kept Zanders on his toes, and how he just couldn’t seem to stop himself from getting closer. It’s an instant attraction but not instalove, which made the relationship feel more hard won and richer. They really do take their time to build up a strong emotional connection, and that was one of the best parts of the book. I was also hooked on both characters – the infuriatingly arrogant (yet immensely appealing) Zanders and the strong, fierce Stevie, who battles insecurities about her curvy figure. Watching Zanders support Stevie and make her love herself right along with him was so very fulfilling, and one of the (many) reasons why it was so easy to fall for this couple. It was a fantastic first experience with this new author, and it’s got me incredibly excited to read more from the series. I loved it! First up we have Kai Rhodes, the starting pitcher for the Chicago MLB team. The Clark Kent hype is REAL!!! I am obsessed. Now now, before everything I want to clarify Evan Zanders and Ryan Shay are still top tier not even joking but Kai Rhodes has just joined the list people. I mean the way he cares for Max is everything and the protectiveness is so yummy I legit gobbled it all up!! Obsessed, obsessed, obsessed!! She might need a reminder that she’s working for me, but I’ll make sure she understands. I’m petty that way. I’ll remember that little interaction for as long as she’s on my airplane.” old “they lived happily ever after”. But no, we needed to know what Prada present Zanders got for a 1 y/o.They’re literally so funny. I had a great time reading their banters. And they’re so annoyingly adorable as well like every time they started with the whole “are you following me?” thing it was OVER for me. I couldn’t help but giggle like a 14 year old girl. Liz Tomforde legit has a direct line to my bank account and this book is just another example of why. this sums up how i feel abt this and every other single dad book out there and yes it’s totally rational. only thing is unlike the fmc i wouldn’t go anywhere near that mess. unless it was put for adoption or something. she was too nice to them imo I’ve been a flight attendant for years. I thought I’d see it all, but when my new job lands me onboard working for the most egotistical and self-righteous diva in the NHL, I start to second guess everything. Including the promise I made to myself of never hooking up with an athlete again…no matter how annoyingly tempting he may be. Our arrangement isn't one-sided, though. I'm in a wedding coming up, on where every one of my childhood friends, including my ex-boyfriend, will be in attendance, and there's no better date than my ex's celebrity hero.

I get that part of this book is body positivity and the h is a curvy girl but when the author needs to remind her readers that the h is a curvy girl for the 100th time and the h's whole personality is her weight it starts to get tiring and annoying!! and don't get me started on the whole storyline with the H's career bc that was one of the most absurd things i've read. This is all mine tonight,” I continue. “And I’m not going to let you talk shit about what’s mine. So, I’m going to need you to stop, or we aren’t doing this.” If you're as terrible of a listener in the bedroom as you are in real life, Miller, I can promise you this, you wouldn't be allowed to come." the way stevie was battling with her self image really broke my heart like it actually made me feel for her and i just absolutely adored the way zanders constantly praised her, making her love herself. he was so fixated on her from the moment he met her & him always wanting to protect her even when they weren't together, it was so so cute.

I read this a couple of months ago so I’m reviewing from a place of trying to remember all the details. My favourite authors who both write inter-connecting athlete romances are Sawyer Bennett and Samantha Whiskey) Kai Rhodes forgot how to have fun, and I’m eager to jog his memory. But when he and his son start to feel like home, I have to remind us both that my time in Chicago ends with the summer. I liked Stevie, she was portrayed as normal girl with flaws and I could relate to her in a lot of ways. Our hero Zander, I didn't like him a bit at the beginning of the book, but then, despite having a few ups and downs, I loved him. SCREAMING, THROWING UP, WALKING IN A HIGHWAY, DIVING INTO THE OCEAN WITH MY TOASTER!! (I can’t even swim)
