I don’t want to give away the twist, but it takes the focus of the production somewhere new… and here lies my criticism of this production – I don’t know that it worked. I get the message that it was sending out, and it certainly achieved the aim of wanting to talk about the themes and issues presented in the second act; the twists and turns of the second act were, for the most part, unexpected but some of it just didn’t work for me. It may be a personal thing – and others may disagree. MR HYDE'S CRAVAT: Fold over the short and non-pointed end of the remaining single piece of fabric to make a seam which will have the strength to support the press studs. Adaptations range from horror-comedies to psychological dramas. In the 1931 film, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, for which Fredric March won the Academy Award for Best Actor, the animal dimensions of Hyde are borne out visually. March dons a set of false teeth resembling canine fangs and a wig of shaggy hair that sits so low on his forehead, it almost meets his eyebrows.

Status was established in both posture and vocal delivery, you also presented the one member of the Board who was more sympathetic to Jekyll. Tender rapport with your daughter - just be sure to sustain breath support to the end of phrases in spoken delivery. The physical connection between this cast was impressive. The scenes between Hyde and Lucy are very challenging - but movement and confidence of players created some really unsettling moments. Handling of Jekyll's transitions was very good too. Again, these could so easily be 'too much', but the physicality and vocal dynamics of this player ensured that we were both gripped and repelled. Some very effective grouping too - the slow, forward movements of the distressed inhabitants of the asylum initially and grouping of prostitutes and punters in the inn was most effective. Excellent reactive play from the ensemble here. Yet another side of Lynden as the concerned and faithful friend to Edward, this was a strong performance and you stayed in character at all times, you interacted well with Edward and we could believe in you and the emotions that you were going through. Well done. FINISHING BOTH: Sew on the press studs (snap fastener) or velcro so that they (it) will fasten the two halves of the cravat securely together. Frank Wildhorn has written so many musicals with different lyricists however this one, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Bonnie and Clyde and Wonderland are the only ones which have crossed the sea to us.A review of two halves. I didn’t wholly connect with the material (although I did find it whirring through my mind so it achieved its aim) but the production was absolutely brilliant. Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novella, Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, was published in 1886. The Scottish author was already known for his travel writing and children’s literature – including Treasure Island – when Jekyll and Hyde appeared. However, this insightful and fantastic tale is perhaps his most unique and enduring.

In each of us there are two natures - the primitive duality of man. It is the curse of mankind that these polar twins should be constantly struggling.' DR JEKYLL'S CRAVAT: Pin two of the fabric pieces together with the best or 'right' sides innermost and machine-sew around both the longer sides leaving the short side open. Tie off the threads and then turn the fabric inside out and using an iron press into shape. Turn under a hem of ½" or 1cm on each of the non-sewn edges and then sew this up on the machine and tie off the threads. From your colourful costumes which helped to create the characters, you all blended well together and have clear singing voices and good movement, you were the ladies of the night always in character at all times. Good stage presence and you lit up the stage, we could believe that you were truly the roles that you created. Well done. Charlie had created some simple but effective routines which looked effective which the cast handled with ease. Well done
