Forward and downward vision systems allow the Inspire 2 to create a real-time map of its flight route as it flies.

A small 120 GB SSD will be full in a few minutes at this rate. But the X5S faces the same issue when using its maximum resolution of 5.2k.

Safety and Convenience

The X9-8K Air also supports 14+ stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO to retain more details, meeting the needs of a wide variety of cinematography scenarios. This color system consists of a new D-Log curve and a D-Gamut RGB color space. The D-Log can encode 15 stops of dynamic range, two stops higher than the CineCore 2.0. Even in poor light conditions, the X7 can still preserve stunning detail in shadows and highlights, leaving more room for post production creativity. The first thing to mention and one of the first questions most people ask is concerning the battery life. DJI have done everything they can to provide you with enough juice to get what you need from the Inspire 2. Two remote controllers can receive live feeds and control the drone independently, so the pilot and gimbal operator can be at different positions on set. This breaks Inspire 2's limitations of binding the primary and secondary control links.

There's been a gap of more than six years between the release of the Inspire 2 and the unveiling of the Inspire 3.

Initially, the Inspire 2 was very much so being pitched at industry professionals and whilst that is still very much the case there has become an increasing consumer demand for pro quality filmmaking for the amateur of hobbyist drone photographer.

Intelligent Modes

Obstacle avoidance sensors in the nose prevent the I2 from running into objects, as long as it's flying forward. The system is able to detect objects 100 feet away. Because the camera can spin to face any direction, you should try to fly forward as much as possible if you're in an environment where a collision is possible. There are also upward facing IR sensors, though they have a much more limited 16-foot detection range. Sensors on the underside detect terrain, so altitude adjusts along with hills when flying low, and identify patterns beneath the drone for stable flight when working indoors without GPS stabilization.
