About this deal

Another likely inspiration for the story is the Stephen King novel, The Dead Zone, in which a man gains the power to see into the future. Unlike the previous book, Say Cheese and Die!, which was told in the third person narrative, Say Cheese and Die — Again! is told from Greg's point of view. While staying with his weird grandaunt Kathryn, Evan Ross visits a funky old toy store and buys a dusty can of monster blood. It is fun to play with at first until Evan notices something weird about the green, slimy stuff--it seems to be growing, and growing. Joe Burton's father Mr. Burton buys 2 garden gnomes named Hap and Chip, but Joe and his sister Mindy discover that the garden gnomes were alive and cause destruction at night.

Isaiah is able to save her in time thanks to seeing the picture of her dying and going looking for her.Isaiah tries to show James the haunted camera, but when anybody other than Isaiah looks at the pictures, they appear blank. Out on a day trip, the Morris family get lost on their way to Zoo Gardens and end up in a theme park called Horrorland which is run by monsters called Horrors. In this third installment of the Monster Blood books, Evan Ross accidentally ingests some of the evil green slime after his nerdy cousin Kermit uses it in a chemistry experiment and grows into a giant.Greg Banks thinks there is something wrong with the old camera he and his friends found. The photographs keep turning out wrong. Very wrong. One of the most common pieces of Curly artwork for general merchandise features Curly holding a copy of Say Cheese and Die! which may have added to the confusion. Evan and his friend Andy once again contend with the evil novelty slime called Monster Blood. This time, Andy is revealed to still have some of it left and accidentally feeds it to the class hamster Cuddles.

James doesn’t believe Isaiah and jokingly snaps a picture of him with the camera. To Isaiah, the picture shows him breaking his arm in the upcoming football game. After Reena leaves, Julie remembers that she must take photos of a school basketball game. At the basketball game, Julie uses her Polaroid camera to take a photo of one of the players, Karla Mayer. When the photo develops, Julie sees only Karla's arm and not the rest of her body. Karla jumps, preparing to make a layup, but her arm bends at a very unnatural angle. Karla falls to the floor and begins screaming. The game is ended, and Karla is taken away. Julie runs into David, and David takes Julie's Polaroid and takes a photo of her with it. The photo becomes jammed inside of Julie's camera and doesn't fall out. Julie then feels an immense pain and doubles over. Julie deduces that the camera is causing her pain, so she has to remove her photo from the camera. Once Julie removes the photo, she starts to feel better. Julie runs away and goes home. Julie hides the Polaroid camera in her room and calls Reena. Reena says that her eyes are still red and that she no longer wants to be friends with Julie. Harry Altman and his brother Alex Altman go to Camp Spirit Moon where the campers turn out to be ghosts who want to use Harry and Alex's bodies to escape. Amanda and Josh Benson move with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Benson into a creepy old house in the strange town of Dark Falls and meet new friends who are unlike any kids they have known before. Although the Evil Camera doesn't appear in the Goosebumps film, the skeleton cook on the cover is featured in the end credits animation. The place where Terry works at after he loses his old job is called Kramer's Photo Mart which is possible a reference to the Kramer family from Night of the Living Dummy II. This is the second Say Cheese and Die book where the protagonist has a skeleton photo nightmare, but is the first one not to be told in the past tense. Against Shari's advice, Greg brings the camera to school and again insists to Mr. Saur to give him a passing mark for his assignment, offering to demonstrate the camera's powers. Mr. Saur takes the camera and insists on taking a picture of Greg with his entire class. He then snaps photo. He asks Greg what is going to happen and Greg says they'll see. Julie describes the evil camera as "a very unusual camera," possibly alluding to The Twilight Zone episode " A Most Unusual Camera". They are definitely not books that are truly enjoyable at any age. I think they remain firmly within their audience of 8-12-year-olds. Something about these books is absolutely entrancing. I still remember thinking 12 was the best age ever, because that's when you get to have all these cool adventures.

In the last scene of the episode, viewers can see the names of students on Mr. Saur's roster. With the exception of Greg and Shari, all of the names belong to people who worked on the Goosebumps television series: The original Tim Jacobus cover art features a young female skeleton at the picnic table, despite Greg not having any sisters mentioned in the book. Marissa and Justin the kids of the famous writer and storyteller Richard Clarke decide to help their father find an ancient parchment called "The Lost Legend," and soon find themselves in the woods of Brovania, home to silver-coated dogs, thousands of mice, and Vikings thought to have been dead long ago. Julie Martin shares the same last name as Abby and Peter Martin, protagonists of a prior HorrorLand book Who's Your Mummy?, yet is in no way related.I started borrowing them from the library lady who was known to be strict and not-so-fun. I would read the books in the same day and returned them the other day. The library lady took a liking in me and soon I started borrowing a couple books at one time and return them after the weekend.

After the event, James and Isaiah run into Sam, and James nervously greets him. Isaiah gets called to the principal’s office and told he cannot play Friday’s game unless he gets an A in the history test the following day. What renders Spidey such a bizarre character in this narrative is the fact that Stine wrote an entity that glimmers along the water’s edge like a ray while simultaneously floating as a crocodile’s body under the surface. Though Spidey is revealed to be a man who used to be a famed scientist, one that is self-proclaimed as being “very evil”, the actions performed by this man teeter on severely dangerous—whereas they are, perhaps, meant to simply be a bit freaky. Should Spidey not have broken into Greg’s room & gone through all his personal belongings in an act that proves to be at once predatory & insane, I might have felt differently. However, the raving delusions of this adult escalate to a scene where he is chasing two (2) of the children down the street & then has them cornered in the basement of the house telling them that they will never be able to leave. Greg only snaps four pictures with the camera in the TV episode (if you count his dream). The first time occurs when he snaps Douglas' picture leading to his friend's fall off the stairs, the second when he snaps a picture of his dad's new car, the third in his dream (of his family at a barbecue, with their image coming out as skeletons), and the fourth when he snaps Shari's picture, leading to her disappearance.Just then, Mr. Bratt arrives and chases everyone away, threatening to call the cops. Allison loses her way and heads off into the woods. She sees a strange person standing in the distance and begins running away from him. Suddenly, she realizes he is in front of her, and he burns himself away. Allison stumbles and falls down. Hearing her scream, Isaiah comes to help her. Mark a chubby 12 year old boy who prefers the company of video games to actual people is given a shrunken head by his jungle explorer aunt Benna's assistant. The assistant suggests that Mark be brought down to the jungle island of Baladora to visit his aunt Benna, but soon discovers that the assistant Dr. Richard Hawlins, Carolyn Hawlins and their daughter Kareen are plotting to shake Mark down for information on the jungle magic the shrunken head possesses.
