It’s a bit of a scent journey, right the way from bright, vibrant fruity with a hint of sweetness, drying down to vanilla with less fruitiness, leaving that end trail of pure sweetness, all toffee/caramel/chocolate, with no fruitiness left in those tail notes at all. For me, it's ace. Like I said, I don't typically wear this scent, but I don't accept NOT wearing it. Like right now. I'm not overly familiar with belle de nuit but I recognise the distinct accord [which I describe as sugared-magnolia-infused-with-vanilla], from the few other fragrances I have owned which contain this floral note. There is accompanying orange blossom, rose and jasmine behind the stronger belle de nuit note, so we do get the expected floral blend that is the traditional nod to the original Far Away within the flankers. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this perfume again regularly. It is feminine and soft, very sweet. Maybe too sweet for some noses, but I'm wearing it in January and sweetness doesn't bother me much in the cold weather. In warmer weather it will probably be very cloying. After about 4 hours of time, the fragrance becomes pungent, with dirty lines, but at the same time tender, due to the orange blossoms which, when in excess, easily manage to refer to this indole sensation, but nothing that cannot be tolerated. Right here, the engagement between Vanilla (rustic) and Musk is noticeable; something sublime unfolds here. At first it gives a burst of sweet candied cherry but very synthetic one. After some time it gets softer and more pleasant but sweet not in the vanillic way... Sometimes when I sniffed my hand I thought it's very mature scent but It dried down very much like Attraction One Intense - very peppery and this moment is the most interesting.My mom made me promise I wouldn't use it up, and I emphatically agree not to. I'm not sure I could aquire this again, it's too precious to us, and I'm only applying a bit tonight to review, so tonight and tomorrow are special. I was very excited about this one as Cherry scents seem to be very much on trend. Unfortunately I've got impression that this fragrance has no vision behind. It doesn't smell like a few ingredient one either... It's a comfy scent. Like having a bubble bath and then snuggling up in bed in ya girly nightie. The scent does remind me more of a classy bath/body product more than a perfume. I've been looking for a more affordable 'dark and moody' cherry based fragrance for everyday use for a while and Beyond The Moon is smoothing my impulse to reach for [Kayali] LOVEFEST every other day. I'm not saying that the two fragrances are overly similar or anything like that, however there are some characterisics here that are a bit reminiscent; the not too sweet fruits, a few of the florals are the same and the patchouli to toughen the blend up is a bit familiar. Could be classed as suitable for every season, but the heady florals appeal to me more the autumn & winter months.
