About this deal

The Whisper lives up to its name and is one of the quietest fans of its kind. The little sound that is produced is reminiscent of the wind you hear rustling outside. If you want, the Whisper switches itself between different wind speeds and airflow directions. The height is adjustable and the fan rotates left and right as well as up and down. This way, the cool air is evenly distributed throughout the room. Bladeless fans can have a lot of benefits over standard fans, including lower running costs, lower sound output, and safety aspects because of no moving parts, great if you have pets or small children. While most fans only offer 1, 2 or 3 different wind speeds, the Whisper has no fewer than 26. This way you determine exactly how hard the wind blows through the room. The fan itself is a high power, with double rotor blades that pump out a lot of air while staying whisper quiet, from as low as 13db up to 50db. It can be adjusted in height so it can be placed on a desk or set up on a floor, and has vertical as well as horizontal tilt, giving you a huge variety of options when it comes to set up.

Bladeless fans also have multiple other benefits that you might not have considered. Some fans have an ionisation filter, which sterilises the air as it passes through, as well as a HEPA filter that removes 99% of particulates out of the air, great for hayfever and people who might have breathing issues. A smart fan is relatively simple to describe. It’s literally a fan that can be controlled through Bluetooth, using your phone or other devices. In night mode, the display turns off completely after 10 seconds to ensure a good night’s sleep. The display can be reactivated by pressing the control button. At the lowest speed, the fan produces only 13 dBa and thanks to the double blade design, the cutting wind noise is reduced. There’s also a timer function that lets you set a time duration between 1-12 hours after which the fan will automatically switch off; a night mode that automatically turns the LCD display off after 10 seconds for nighttime use; and a temperature function whereby the fan will measure the ambient room temperature against your desired setting and will automatically decrease its speed once the goal temperature is reached. Typical of this fan is its enormous power. A strong stream of cool air is easily blown up to 15 meters. Ideal if you want to cool a larger room. You can simply operate the Whisper from your chair, with the handy remote control. Choose which mode you prefer: one speed, \’natural wind\’ or, for example, the night mode where you are lulled to sleep by the whooshing of the wind.Smart fans save you money by regulating their usage. A fan isn’t particularly expensive to run, but the costs add up over time. By reducing the time that your fan is on, or running at high speeds Convenience Noise levels, meanwhile, are as close to silent as you’re going to get from a pedestal fan. True, at max speed you’re looking at around 43dB from 1m away (measured with a smartphone in a room with a hard wooden floor), but at the 12 setting this drops to 35dB and at level 1 it’s only 30dB. This is ever so slightly quieter than the two Meaco fans, measured at the same time with the same equipment. Given that the Meacos are among the quietest fans we’ve ever tested, that’s a great result. The fan head requires simple assembly, with the front cover secured by a single screw. Inside the plastic cage there’s a unique blade design with distinct inner and outer zones. The outer ring contains nine stubby blades, whereas the inner circle has seven, so long that they almost overlap. At some point I was pleased to hear that Mr Dyson (yes that one) would also be embarking on the shaky path of air travel. The ultimate result of his involvement, however, was downright disappointing. Yes, the design was visually groundbreaking. No fan blades but a futuristic looking ring with a strong airflow coming out of it. But what a noise!! It looked like a hairdryer on full blast…. The Whisper is super powerful and extremely quiet. Due to the smart structure of dual fan blades, the product is up to 7x more powerful than traditional fans. In addition, the Whisper is very quiet with a noise level from 13 decibels.

The second pedestal fan on our list, the Duux Whisper Flex differentiates itself by the internal battery, which lets this fan operate for up to 18 hours without being plugged into the mains. The Duux Whisper Flex is essentially a pedestal fan with a clever modular design, enabling it to work effectively as a room fan or a smaller floor-level fan. The motor unit sits on a mount that swivels both horizontally and vertically, allowing it to oscillate in both directions, and this connects through a tough plastic stalk to the base where the onboard controls sit. If you’re tech-savvy then you can also connect this fan to your WiFi, whereby it's compatible with Google Assistant and Alexa. So you can shout at the controls rather than angrily pressing buttons to make it do what you want. All in all, assembling the fan took me about 20 minutes. So I thoroughly recommend setting up the fan BEFORE you’re feeling hot and bothered by the heat! First, and most important in our book, this is the quietest fan that we've tested. It's virtually silent on its lowest settings which makes it a brilliant fan to have running in the bedroom overnight, and even on its most powerful settings, with its 13-50 dB noise levels, it's the quietest fan we've found. Our only real complaint about the design of the fan was its control panel, which is difficult to get used to. The raised disc on the Whisper Flex's base allows you to change the fan's speed, switch to night mode and adjust oscillation, but we found it much easier to use the app for this. The app also handily uses GPS to determine the temperature and humidity outside. Duux Whisper Flex Smart Standing Fan: Our Verdict Like the Meacofan 1056, the Whisper Flex Smart produces a consistent and reasonably focused column of air. At the minimum speed, we measured this at 1.9 metres per second (m/s) from 15cm, falling to 1.5m/s at one metre. At full speed, this rose to a mighty 5.8m/s at 15cm and 4.4m/s one metre away. Even at two metres, we still recorded a blowy 3.3m/s – even more than we measured from the Meacofan. Both of these things are great, as they mean you’re getting a powerful but unobtrusive fan that can easily sit in the corner of your room and won’t overpower conversation or late-night TV watching! Today received the ordinary, non-smart Whisper White through Bol because it was unfortunately sold out here.
