About this deal

But the overall versatility of this Donner really surprised me. It can handle music from soft country cleans to pretty meaty metal tones if the right amp is used (I recommend Fender Mustang LT25, Boss Katana 50 Mkii, or VOX Valvetronix 20). And this is why I think it’s a great choice, especially for beginners. The guitar is made from a unique wood called Kauri, which produces a warm and powerful sound. The wood resonates better than mahogany and creates a higher clarity. The laminated spruce on top adds to the durability of the instrument.

As this is a full-size guitar, it is also not suitable for children who want to learn to play the guitar. It feels pretty big even in my hand as I am used to playing electric guitars. This guitar will feel too big for small children, demotivating them as it would be harder to learn anything. Although it is a guitar made for beginners, it is a full-size 41” guitar. This means it is not suitable for children. However, Donner has the DAG-1M which is a 3/4 size guitar that is perfect for children. The gig bag is nice, and the other included accessories are decent and functional. Really has everything you need if just starting to learn guitar. Serious beginners will appreciate the all-solid-wood construction of the Donner DAD-812 dreadnought acoustic. The solid spruce top produces excellent resonance and volume perfect for practicing or jam sessions.

But most important of them all, although this is a good-quality instrument for its price. All of the compliments I am giving to the instrument are relative to its price. The guitar is excellent for beginners, but it most probably would not satisfy experienced players with its sound and playability. The second guitar is the carbon fibre Donner. It sounds richer and bigger and is very easy to play after I adjusted the action and took one shim out from under the saddle. Unfortunately, it's too small for my adult sausage fingers. Decent bass response as well..

First, the volume knob affects your sound only from 5-10. It turns to silent when you reach 4, so it doesn’t give that good control over the volume. For me, this doesn’t really matter since I mostly adjust the tone knobs and only sometimes turn the volume to around 8 instead of 10. Headless Guitars have been/still indeed are all the rage. They look like something from Star Trek, and they lead to convenience and Avant guard design. In this review, I'm going to be diving into a new offering from the music gadget company Donner. This is a silent acoustic guitar that could fit most conceivable places. The truss rod cover is impossible to remove with the strings in place. Not a big deal as I often loosen the strings and spread the 3rd and 4th strings apart anyway if I need to tighten a truss rod, but it’s kind of a stupid design. My main consideration is the body itself. The top is very thin carbon fiber (so they say). The body seems to be ABS. Examining the inside, there is no bracing of consequence. There are only two 1/8" finger braces across the body, each radiating from a bridge plate. They are a good 1" short of meeting the sides. In fact, under the stress of standard tuning the top deflects 1/8" just above the bridge towards the bass side. Any more deflection would affect intonation and possibly cause separation at the top edge. It would seem that one of the main functions of carbon fiber would be to resist bending. The top to side lining is partially kerfed on corners but mostly just a thin strip of plastic. There is plenty of cement squeeze out and run.

As I already mentioned, this guitar had a really low action out of the box. After making it a bit higher to get rid of the fret buzz, handling this guitar and accessing all corners of the fretboard was really easy and smooth. Strings feel like the ones from the short-scale guitar(this donner has the regular scale of 25.5”) because they were so easy to fret and bend.

As an avid guitarist with over 15 years of experience, I often get asked for recommendations on good starter guitars. In my search for quality, budget-friendly models for beginners, the Donner brand stands out for impressive sound at an affordable price. So, here is the list that I have prepared to help you determine which one is for you out of many Donner Guitar options: Overall, this Donner is a really comfortable, easy, and smooth playing guitar that should fit players from beginners to pros well. Donner HUSH-I Travel Guitar

Donner DAG-1CE model is the natural wood color variation that comes with the cutaway shape. It is the same model as DAG-1C but has a built-in preamp.

The guitar is a lightweight guitar that weighs around 3.85 lbs (1.75 kg). It should also be noted that this model only comes with a right-hand configuration, but there is a model for left-handed as well. The names of the models give a hint about the nuances that the models feature. For example, the letter “C” in the name indicates the cutaway shape, the letter “L” signals the left-hand option, and the letters “B” and “S” are about the color variations. The letter “E” shows that the guitar is electro-acoustic and has a built-in pre-amp. Finally, the letter “M” indicates that it is a 3/4 size guitar. I may have gotten a return item because the truss rod cover is chipped and there are surface scratches from strumming.

MSRP: (UK) £279 / (US) $299

Other significant aspects of the model’s playability are the tuning stability and its intonation. Often beginner guitars tend to go out of tune easily and require tuning more than regularly to play in proper tune. But this model holds the tuning great, which makes the playing much more enjoyable. Like most of the guitars, you can upgrade the parts of Donner DAG-1C to have a more solid piece of instrument. There are 3 parts that need to be upgraded on this model, in my opinion. These parts are the nut, the saddles, and the string pins. Nut What if I did things the right way? The transparent way. I first run a vote on Youtube, I asked if it was okay to receive products for free and then provide an honest review. Here are the results:
