Freshly boiled water in a vacuum flask. Make sure that the flask is clean, and used only for your baby. If sealed correctly, the water will remain hot enough for several hours. When your baby is 1 year old, they can start to drink whole cows' milk or sheep's or goats' milk (as long as these milks are pasteurised). Basically she began to get very windy within first few days of us using the powder base formula so we then thought dr brown bottles and infacol were the way to go. She then began to hold her breath when having feeds for a short while and you could hear her rattling and struggling to breath. Medium flow dr brown teats have helped which have helped her take more each feed but she's having some breathing diifficulties at night. We took her to hospital saturday night as we were concerned and her chest, oxygen levels were fine. Might add that she had no breathing probs at birth. Comfort formula is made from partly broken down (partially hydrolysed) proteins. It's not suitable for babies with cows' milk allergy. Follow-on formula

These are found naturally in some plants.
Breastfeeding provides the best start for your baby but if you decide not to, or choose to combination feed, choose Cow & Gate Comfort which is nutritionally complete. It's important to take extra care when making up and storing these products as powdered formula is not sterile and making it up at lower temperatures will not kill any harmful bacteria it may contain. My 17 week daughter has been on this milk since she was 5 weeks and I can honestly say that whilst it seems to have benefitted her wind and reflux better (although this could also be due to her gut maturin with age) I have found this milk to be an absolute nightmare and wondered whether anyone else using this had any ideas. My little one suffered very badly with colic, wind and constipation, we moved her on to Aptamil Easy Digest which did wonders along with dr brown bottles.
