About this deal

When I first heard about Cover Girl Skin Milk, I thought it sounded like it could play the role of a tinted moisturizer. I’m not especially disappointed that it’s not doing that for me because it never claimed to be a tinted moisturizer, but I wanted to throw that out there. That way, you’ll have context for my Cover Girl Skin Milk review and know whether there’s something in the routine I used that you would do differently that might make this a better or worse fit for you than it was for me. Both of these offer more moisture and a dewier finish, perfect for dry skin. These are tinted moisturizers with about the same amount of coverage as the Cover Girl Skin Milk. With the NARS option, you get the addition of SPF. With NYX, you’re getting the Skin Milk price point. If Your Skin is Oily or You Prefer a More Matte Finish… WOW, I LOVE this product," wrote another verified reviewer. "It is so lightweight and gives me enough coverage that I still look kind of natural but covers my acne and evens my skin tone. Such a good color match!"

I finished my face with the COVERGIRL Clean Fresh Pressed Powder in medium. Since it’s formulated with a tapioca and aloe vera powder blend, it glided smoothly onto my skin. It brought the whole look together and made the glow more prevalent. I didn’t have to worry about looking too shiny or greasy because the powder didn't even give my face the chance. It absorbed any oil without appearing dried up or cakey. I even tried the 440 dark shade for contouring. I was able to build on coverage and still look I had nothing on at all. The three concealers very much worked together to even my skin. There are a lot of things to like about Cover Girl Skin Milk; reviewing it is a little painful because I know it’s a good option, but also I need to point out all the negatives in the next section. But first, the good stuff:

This Covergirl review found out that the brand is owned by Coty. It was formally acquired by Noxzema Chemical Company in 1961. Is Covergirl vegan? I’m Neutral on This One. I like it, yes, but would I buy it again or shout from the rooftops about it? Probably not. I don’t like how heavy it feels on my skin (applying without moisturizer doesn’t help because then it does feel dry, on me, at least). I like the shade selection and ease of application, and the finish is nice. I love that it’s inexpensive, too. I could feel it on my skin several hours after application; it was not uncomfortable or dry, but it felt a little heavy, which is probably from the moisturizing ingredients.

I applied shade 580 tan and couldn’t believe how it matched my skin tone perfectly. Seriously, I had to do another drop on my face (and even on my hand) just to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating and that I did in fact apply the foundation. I went went with four drops and used a makeup sponge to glide it across my face. Answer: I’m pretty neutral on Cover Girl Skin Milk specifically, but I think it’s slightly more good than bad. It’s not bad, but it didn’t wow me. Though I like a lot of things about it and feel that it mostly lives up to its claims, it’s just not one I’m particularly excited about. Cover Girl Skin Milk Review: Conclusion None given by the brand. They don’t specify if it’s suggested to use your fingers, a brush, or a sponge for application. Number of Shades Available Coverage is decent if you’re not expecting much. If you want full coverage or even a solid medium-coverage foundation, you may want to look elsewhere, but this is a good everyday product for those days you want a little something but not a full face of makeup, I think. It’s perfect for natural and “no makeup, makeup” looks as far as coverage and finish go. It looks like fresh skin and can perk up a tired complexion. The coverage was light and it did feel moisturizing. At no point did I feel like the product was drying out and breaking apart on my skin. I wouldn’t say it has an especially dewy finish. I’d say it’s more of a satin finish on my skin. Cover Girl Skin Milk ProsPrescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number). Probably not. I have heard great things about this foundation from people with oily skin, but as someone with dry skin it did not work for me. The coverage was light as it’s intended to be, but at the end of the day it emphasized my texture and dry areas more than a very full-coverage matte foundation would. It did not give a glowy finish and got very patchy throughout the day. I would not describe it as dewy, long-wearing, or giving a blurring effect to skin. I am going to keep a couple of shades to try later on this summer to see if my skin reacts differently to it.
