Lauren takes the cake with her on-campus disciplinary record for scheming and plotting, as well as some moments in her missions. The setting of the mission is great and it is interesting to see the power struggle over Luton following Keith Moore getting sent down. I spoke about this in my Class A review, KGM was probably the lesser of two evils for the Luton community. The violence that erupted in the wake of a power struggle caused far more damage. You wouldn't have seen the slasher boys attempt to butcher fields of football teams in KGM days.

CHERUB began with a small number of boys which swelled in size as the government realised its worth. After several years of operation it took in a trial group of girls, which proved successful. Since then CHERUB campus has grown a significant amount, improving many of its facilities. The dojo was built on behalf of a successful operation that took place in Japan and the new mission preparation building was built by the chairman of the first 6 novels, Dr. McAfferty, better known as Mac. After retiring at the end of Man Vs Beast, he is replaced by Zara Asker, who holds the role for ten years until stepping down to be replaced by husband Ewart Asker shortly before New Guard. Its Kyle last dodgy scheme and I got quite emotional reading about him leaving. Lauren finally gets a deserving punishment where we might see her mature a bit more and move on from lording her status. However, it actually turns out that while the man was technically responsible, it was only indirectly. He was actually illegally dealing in scrapped plane parts, and one of these faulty parts failing in flight is what caused the crash. The fact the plane went down right before 9/11 was a complete coincidence.
