About this deal

Alan Burnett · Paul Dini · Ty Templeton Batman: The Adventures Continue (Volume 1 (Digital)) was a limited digital-first comic book series, published by DC Comics starting in April 2020. The series took place during the early days of Tim Drake as Robin and is a sequel to Batman: The Animated Series.

With Straightman and Task Force X behind us, Batman: The Adventures Continue Season 3 begins new arc focusing on the al Ghuls and a changed Gotham City. More than the final story for the miniseries and even Batman: The Adventures Continue as a whole, it’s almost framed like a finale for the universe all together. Of course, we know that isn’t the case because the DCAU that this takes place in continues on to include the events of Justice League, Justice League: Unlimited, and eventually Batman: Beyond. Nevertheless, the series’ pieces are arranged for one last confrontation. BATMAN: THE ADVENTURES CONTINUE 2020 BATMAN DAY SPECIAL EDITION #1". DC Comics. September 16, 2020 . Batman: The Adventures Continue – Season Three #8 not only concludes the latest volume of the popular Batman:The Animated Series comic continuation, but it’s also the finale to the “three season” comic series. A show for kids that demonstrated the right amount of maturity-told it like it was-didn't gloss over how harsh and unfair the world can be. It was even educational. It gave me a glimpse of mental illness and how some people have a warp sense of justice while others simply want to watch the world burn (besides the Joker). How I've longed for a continuation of this epic series! DC Comics has released the final covers for Batman: The Adventures Continue – Season Three #8, which will be available in print and digital starting Oct. 3, 2023. The issue, which has four separate covers, not only concludes the third volume of the popular Batman:The Animated Series sequel comic, but is also the finale to the “three season” series. The first collection of Gargoyles creator Greg Weisman’s all-new tales set in the world of his beloved animated show is finally here! Collecting issues #1-6 of the acclaimed series written by Weisman and illustrated by George Kambadias, Gargoyles: Here in Manhattan reintroduces the Manhattan Clan, a Gargoyles family newly dedicated to their mission of defending humanity in modern-day New York. But even though their commitment is strong, their bonds are about to be tested to the limit when nefarious factions from all across the world attempt to steal that rarest, most precious of possessions… an unhatched Gargoyle egg! Batman: The Adventures Continue is the definition of a labor of love. The comics and new action figures show that the story Dini, Burnett, Timm and so many others started telling in 1992 still goes on, and we can only guess where things may take us next. It’s enough to make everyone who watched the classic series as a kid feel like one again. The chance to return to that world, with two creative partners who were also involved in shaping it, has been a real thrill for Dini. “Ty Templeton was able to capture all the depth we were trying to go for with the characters and even then some,” Dini shares. “He brought such incredible emotion to the characters and complexity with the stories. To work with him again is a dream come true.” Batman: The Adventures Continue (2020-) #2: Season Two". comiXology. Archived from the original on July 6, 2021 . Also set for release is a second hardcover collection for the Harley Quinn: The Animated Series spin-off comic titles. Continue below for artwork and further details, all provided by DC Comics. The first half of the book is more interesting, since it features an adaptation of the Court Of Owls for the Animated Series universe, but even that feels oddly restrained, all things considered.

Court Fight" (Issues 1-2): Batman and Deadman investigate why the Court of Owls assassinated Mayor Hill of Gotham City. Zatanna gives Batman an amulet that allows him to interact with Deadman. Batman and Deadman discover that Mayor Hill faked his own death as part of a conspiracy so that the Court of Owls can control Gotham City again. These eight issues bring in some characters we never got to see during the original run, like Deathstroke, Azrael, and Jason Todd, with little twists on them to fit them into the DCAU. Most of these work well enough, and the Jason Todd plot especially feels like a good payoff since it threads its way through the earlier issues before becoming the main focus. There's also a story featuring Superman and Lex Luthor, so it seems DC are allowing writers Paul Dini and Alan Burnett (both of whom were heavily involved in BTAS originally) to use as much of the DCAU as they want. Seven chapters of the Batman: The Adventures Continue miniseries have already been released digitally and a print edition will soon follow. With the first wave of action figures now in stores as well, there has never been a more rich and exciting time to be a Batman: The Animated Series fan. At least, not since the series left the airwaves. Batman: The Adventures Continue (2020-) #1". ComiXology. Archived from the original on April 2, 2020 . Retrieved October 20, 2020.
