To mark your ceiling placement, determine where you want the center of your beam on your ceiling. This placement will most likely be centered over a table or island. Drill a hole with the correct diameter, 10mm in this case. Be sure to use a hammer-drill to drill into concrete. We decided to cut down two sides of the beam to make it 6″x6”. But this was a little more difficult because the table saw we were using can only cut 3“deep (total of 6″). We were off by 2″ on one side.
