About this deal

Last year, when I was dating Rob, we nearly went all the way, but then I found out he slept with another girl at a party while drunk. He groveled profusely when I confronted him about it, but I couldn’t trust him again and we broke up. Now I’m much more careful about the guys I date, although I know not all of them are like Rob. But why her? Why would somebody like him (gorgeous, rich and seemingly in control) need to kidnap her? And who is he, exactly? ‘Cause he appears to be someone very important. On the eve of her eighteenth birthday, Nora Leston meets Julian Esguerra, and her life changes forever. Stolen away to a private island, she finds herself at the mercy of a powerful, dangerous man whose touch makes her burn. So after the hospital, the book goes from 0.... nah, more like 35mph to 60 in the blink of an eye. I was literally pressing my ear bobs into my eardrums to make sure I heard this and that... I didn't want to miss anything! The action toward the end was that good...but then... right before the ending, the h... OMG! I just wanted to b*slap her.... So yes, I give this trilogy 5/5 stars. It's a fast read and I definitely recommend anyone with an open mind to jump in and read it.

Now, she wasn’t in captivity for a little while. In fact, Nora was in Julian’s possession for more than a year. During this time, the sex went from rigorously and wantonly brutal to a mutual, though nonetheless twisted variation. Last Thoughts Nora, come on, this is boring,” Leah says as we sit on the bleachers watching the game. Football. Something I know nothing about, but pretend I love because that’s where I see him. Out there on that field, practicing every day. A: Let's start with not having to stop to find Bk 2 and 3 when I just wanted to know what happened next. Then let's talk about how well the author balances the fear, rage and passion because let's face it. We keep thinking, she should be running, fighting, fleeing! It takes serious skill to create a believable, likeable character who acts so contrary to how we all think we should act in such a situation. I loved the action sequences, the relationship development moments, the view of the secondary characters. Just a really really well-written book.

Twist Me by Anna Zaires Summary

books in one. This author was recommended to me by a few readers who were into Jealous-possessive H. But it’s definitely on the lighter side of “dark” in comparison to some of the thrilling nightmares I’ve gotten myself into, in the past. *eeeeep* I say that and cringe and the same time, ’cause I was horrified with his immediate “taking” of her in all ways (not just the kidnapping). No “get-to-know-me” intros… no her slowly falling for him until they finally… you know. Nope. Whether she wanted to or not, he wasn’t taking no for an answer, and that initial scene (albeit this one was not so crazy) always squigs me out. Oh, I know. It happens over and over again in the dark ones, but I just can’t get used to ’em.

I first read book 1 in this series a couple years ago and for some reason I was unable to connect with the characters. This couple faces much danger and heartache, and many trials and tribulations along the way, and their addiction to one another is so overpowering they would literally walk through the pits of hell, and face down the devil himself, to save one another. Ms. Zaire never missed a single beat with the book. The erotic interludes were tastefully choreographed, scintillating—and plentiful!--and every plot point was brilliantly executed and so palpable it often left me gasping for breath. And the HEA ending? EPIC!!!!!!! The perfectly fitting ending for this beloved couple’s amazing journey…a journey that was filled with love and lust, pain and loss, but finally triumphs against ALL ODDS!! I felt like the h didn't deserve my perfectly badass villain... She totally broke the ultimate rule!!!Oh my oh my. ChristianGrey is nothing compared to Julian Esguerra. Julian is the kind of sadist that will turn you into the submissive type and make you "beg for more even after the third orgasm despite your fear and reluctance" (Nora's voice) sorry, I just had to. The sex toys are definitely present but they're not a primordial part of his mind games which I personally find quite comforting because I am a new reader (possibly a new fan) of this genre and I am not traumatized by the bdsm scenes. Anna accomplishes this, not merely competently, but with profound insight, eloquence, and surprising creativity. She makes the reader question herself: "What is wrong with me?" "How can I be aroused by this girl's predicament?" Yet I couldn't help falling in love with Julian and Nora just as surely as they developed their intense loyalty to each other. In addition to reading and writing, Anna enjoys drinking tea (coconut oolong, anyone?), watching addictive TV shows, and discussing book ideas during long walks with her amazing husband. I leave the house like that to avoid any suspicion. I tell my parents I’m going to hang out with Leah at a friend’s house. My mom smiles and tells me to have fun.

I want to scream, but I can’t draw in enough air. I want to move, but I’m restrained, tied in place, the ropes cutting into my skin as I struggle against them. Recently my really good friend ( Hi Bee )has been encouraging me to read it and I finally gave in lol. With the addition of Mr. Scarlato’s voice this audio just took the series up to a whole new level for me. While I enjoyed Ms. Rae’s voice in the previous book, I wasn’t constantly turning the audio on. However, this time around, I found myself unable to stop the audio. This pair together were perfection! If, I hadn't read that little teaser for the next book I wouldn't be torn. I would have, straight out, not liked this book because Julian did really ugly things to Nora and she was just wide open accepting and enjoying everything (with one or two half-hearted rebellion attempts). I was never convinced that he had any feelings for her as an individual person, it was all about him and his dead friend. He successfully moulded her into his pet and that was what he called. She looked like someone he had loved and he made her into his sexual plaything, moulded her entire identity, sexual and otherwise. She wasn't the least bit concerned about her parents or anything else afterwards.

While Julian does have his darker, sadistic tendencies, there is a raw, primal tenderness to him that just melts me!! His evolution from cruel, sadistic captor to darkly besotted husband and lover was such a gloriously thing to hold. But at his core he retained his same ruthlessly sinister edge. He made no excuses—or apologies--for the choices he made. He wanted Nora, so he took her. End of story. And in the process he stole the heart of countless fans. Welcome to Paranormal Romance! Join up and discuss your favorite books!Twist Me is an excellent dark romance trilogy that actually has enough narrative to span three books. The smut was bone-curling intense and the plot was next level. However, the main reason why some may not like this trilogy, is the the relationship between out two leads. Both of are legal age, one just barely, but there is a significant age gap as well. In addition, you add in the kidnapping and hostage situation and this may turn off some readers. There is some question when it comes to consent in a variety of situations that occur in this book that may disturb some readers as well. When I say this book was the epitome of captivating I honestly am not exaggerating. I could not put it down for a second. I was drawn by the incredible storyline, the intensity of Julian, the chemistry between him and Nora. I'm not sure what I was expecting going in but having my heart stolen out of my chest by Mr. Esugerra was not it.
