True Match Super-Blendable Foundation is also categorized into five depth categories: deep, medium deep, medium, light medium and light. Look for the shade that matches the depth of your skin with the corresponding undertone. For example, if you have medium deep skin with warm undertones, look at the warm shades in the medium deep category — W9, W8 and W7 — for the shade that best matches your skin tone. I wasn’t ever that much of a fan of the original True Match, but this new tinted serum sounded more like my kind of base product, so I was excited to give it a try.

It does have a radiant glow, and it does look beautiful on the skin. However, what wowed me, was how blurring it is on the skin. In the above photo, the lighting isn’t great, but I wanted to include it so you could see how the foundation blurred the surface of the skin, and that’s without primer. In the US, it’s called the L’Oreal True Match Nude Hyaluronic Tinted Serum, but in the UK it’s called the L’Oreal True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Serum, but it’s definitely the same product, and I couldn’t wait to try it once it finally launched in the UK. When we describe someone as “light-skinned” or “dark-skinned”, we are really describing their skin tone depth.
