It sounds like nothing, but somehow having my helmet hanging around while I charge the 10C Evo seems cumbersome. Crazy isn’t it, yet somehow that irritates me. The Sena 10C Evo is perhaps the most complete of all the motorcycle cameras I’ve tested recently. Or should I describe the Sena 10C Evo as an excellent Bluetooth intercom that also has a camera? I was just about to mitigate this crash waiting to happen by buying a Sena 10C Evo when I was assigned the job of reviewing that exact model of communications device with an integrated still and video camera. So, I won’t be doing that stupid, one-handed, distracted photography anymore, and you won’t have to either if you buy yourself a Sena 10C Evo. The camera is the reason to get this Sena Bluetooth unit. If you don’t want to take pictures or shoot video while riding, there are many other great Sena units to choose from.
As the Pro version uses the same acceories as the 10c, is it possible to just buy the cameraunit? The camera quality is much better than expected, bearing in mind it's not an action camera like a go pro, it's still really good. I also love how my music seamlessly blends in with my videos. The 10C EVO’s compact, aerodynamic design is optimized for helmets as it hugs close to the outer shell. This results in reduced wind resistance and noise, improving your audio experience. In comparison to other similar camera systems, the design is slender yet the performance excels where it matters, with up to 20 hours of talk time and 1.5 hours of video recording. The App for the Intercom connects over Bluetooth and has an array of features to get the sound just how you would like it. And if you are into your music, there is an optional upgrade to the speakers.The easy thing to do would have been to wait for perfect conditions and filmed the spring countryside bathed in warm sunshine, but that isn’t the real world. Neither App requires much explanation. There are help buttons next to the options, and if two options are incompatible with each other, the App tells you so. Naturally, the Sena 10C Evo connects with other Bluetooth intercoms and connects with my phone and my GPS at the same time and blends all three audio streams together. And then there is the combination of the two, the Sena 10C Evo. To install the excellent 4K camera the Sena Mesh technology has gone, but the reliable and clear Bluetooth intercom remains, as does the ability to group four Bluetooth intercoms together. The full 10C manual is available from inside the Sena Utility app. If this is your first Sena unit, you will find reading the manual especially helpful, and the unit’s controls straight forward and easy to use, even with winter gloves.
