About this deal

For first time filling or when using a new coil leave it to stand for 10 minutes before use to make sure the coil is fully saturated with e-liquid. Vape too early and you could either bugger up the coil or get a dry hit from hell! The battery life is indicated on the LED light surrounding the button, with three different colours; red (<30%), blue (30-65%) and green (65-100%). Flavour test There can be no doubt that OXVA produce some of the best kits in the game when it comes to small pod devices. The Xlim C really is a great kit but I remain unconvinced it’s better than it’s predecessors. The replaceebale coil seems unecessary and I can’t see any upside to it. Although the Xlim C doesn’t leak and the coils last well, it does make it prone to these things. The flavour production is incredible, just like disposables with the right liquid. Battery life is strong and an adjustable airflow is of course welcomed. All round, this is an excellent kit for beginners. When pairing your new Xlim C with E-Liquids, no matter which coil you use, we recommend only using high-PG vape juices, such as nicotine salts or 50/50 E-Liquids. You should not use any high-VG E-Liquids in your Xlim C. Included with the kit: There are two coil options in this kit; a 0.6-ohm coil and a 0.8-ohm coil. The 0.6-ohm coil fires between 18- 22 watts depending on your setting, while the 0.8-ohm coil fires between 13-17 watts. There is also an additional option available (not included) which is a 1.2-ohm coil that fires between 8-12 watts.

Trying this with 70/30 e-liquid (IVG Select Bubblegum) with approx 6mg of nic salt added this was fine. I used 50/50 20-24 mg nicotine salt juices with these coils, and the flavor was great for a pod system. The coils performed at a pretty similar level. The 0.6-ohm coil did seem to produce more clouds, but I felt that the 0.8-ohm coil was actually a little better for flavor and better suited for the device. But really, you can’t go wrong with either. This is kind of a hybrid between the SE and the original Xlim. The original had a screen and the SE had no fire button. How Long Do Coils Last? - An in-depth guide to coil life and how to keep your coils going for longer. The OXVA Xlim C is perfectly suited to those switching from disposable vapes that want a hassle free vaping experience. Apart from changing the coils (which is easy in this kit), there isn’t too much to worry about. We’d therefore recommend it to beginner vapers and intermediate vapers who might want a smaller more convenient device. Pro’s and Cons Pro’s It is frosted but still clear enough to see the pod contents. When it is installed in the mod you can tip it to see the e-liquid level remaining which is great.

So far with the Xlim series, we’ve yet to see changeable coils, so it was a nice treat to get to try these for the first time. Filling the pod is made easy thanks to the V2 side or V3 top filling port – meaning there is no need to remove the pod from the device to fill with the V3. The OXVA Xlim C offers all the same ease-of-use as the other devices in the Xlim series, but the option of changeable coils means your replacement parts will last longer and maintenance is better for the planet, since you’re not discarding a piece of plastic every few days.In comparison to the Caliburn G coils, the Xlim C coils provide a more consistent flavour in the long term and they last longer overall by a long shot (by several days to a week). When using the Caliburn G coils, the flavour is extra strong for about 2 days before the taste begins to drop off—whereas with the Xlim C coils, the flavour doesn’t start out as strong, but stays consistent through the entire life of the coil.

Not only are you getting a USB-C cable, but you also get not one, but two coils. This always earns brownie points as, although it is pretty rare, there is always the chance of a dud coil which can massively sour any new toys. It is also a good call to include two different coils as it means you can try them out to see which you prefer when you need to buy new ones. Battery life and charging

Changing to the 0.6ohm coil gave a slightly more intense flavour, but the difference wasn’t massive. I also found the coil life took a slight hit, it started to show signs of burnt flavour a couple of days earlier than the 0.8ohm coil which lasted me a comfortable 6-7 days before I had to swap them out. On this basis, I would recommend the 0.8ohm coil out of the two as it will also help stretch out that battery life a tad. Don’t get me wrong, both coils are superb so you can’t really go wrong with either, it’s just my personal preference. With the 0.6ohm coil I got around 5 hours of heavy vaping on the lowest power level. This equates to around 4 pod fills.
