About this deal

This Beautifully Matte foundation held nicely throughout the day and we think it’s definitely better suited for oily skin types. We particularly liked that our T-zone wasn’t oily at the end of the day, which takes some doing. As promised, this foundation truly did give a matte look, although if you apply too much we found that this full-coverage foundation left our faces looking a bit cakey. From dryness and dullness to fine lines and dark spots , our skin changes as we age – and our makeup should change with it. Read on to discover the best foundations for aging skin and how to keep makeup from settling into wrinkle s . How to find the best foundation for aging skin En riched with No7’s unique anti-wrinkle technology, Matrixyl 3000+ , hyaluronic acid , a broad-spectrum SPF 50 and optical blurring particles, it helps to hydrate, protect and smooth the skin, lending the complexion a healthy and youthful-looking appearance. We found this No7 foundation left our skin looking ashy at first. It did slightly oxidise, but we still had to add a little bronzer to warm our complexion up. This foundation contains SPF15 and the consistency holds the SPF, which is why there was a slight white cast. We suggest going a shade darker.

We’re very pleasantly surprised by how well this foundation performed. So much so, it surpassed our previous favourite No7 foundation, the No7 Stay Perfect Superlight Foundation. The Restore and Renew Serum foundation gave us light-to-medium coverage and it masked our blemishes with ease.It doesn’t really give full coverage to begin with, which is why you’ll need to build up to that kind of coverage if that’s what you’re after. As a result, the No7 Stay Perfect foundation could be a good foundation to cover all bases – lighter coverage for the day and fuller coverage at night. It also offers true-to-colour shade, even with SPF15. While your foundation is still wet, g ently press a setting powder into the skin using a powder brush . Focus on pigmented and uneven areas that need extra coverage for a smooth, airbrushed finish. Brightening ingredients : To help create a radian t -looking complexion, opt for a foundation that contains ingredients known to help brighten dull skin

Yet while we’ve previously included No7 products in our various lists of Best Buys, now we’re delving a deeper to not only celebrate the brand’s foundation range but to put the best No7 foundations to the test. You may remember huge queues forming outside your local Boots after No7 first launched its famous Protect and Perfect Serum. Ever since then, we’ve been a huge fan of the brand. Why wouldn’t we be? No7 skincare is formulated with good, high quality anti-ageing ingredients, and with over 2,000 Boots stores in the UK, it is easy to get your hands on. With their new Menopause targeted skincare range, No7 are the experts in caring for older skin. And we’re not the only ones who think so. 37,000 people joined the waiting list to buy the No7 Line Correcting Booster Serum when it launched in 2018, just one impressive example of how beloved this reasonably priced range is. Take a look at your bare skin in the mirror in natural light to identify which skin tone you have, ranging from fair, light, medium and dark. You might find that instead of just being one tone, you’re a combination of a few skin tones such as light-medium or medium-dark. If you’re really struggling to work out what type of skin tone you have, ask a friend to help or visit a local beauty counter for assistance. Knowing which skin tone you have will make it a lot easier to determine which foundation color will suit you most.
