About this deal

A great point to note is that the Vanquish 540 machine is both wired and wireless. The Vanquish 540 has the option to connect to any Bluetooth headset and is not limited to Minelab headsets exclusively. The detector uses frequencies between 5 and 40 kHz simultaneously. That is advantageous because the lower frequency range allows for deeper identification. Park 1 – Best for coin shooting. This mode has 3 tones with low for ferrous, mid-tone for non-ferrous and gold targets, and high tone for copper and silver. This mode searches deeper but slower than Park 2. When you arrive on the beach, you must switch on the Vanquish 540. You do this by putting the coil onto the sand and pressing down on the power button. The LED will start up, and now you can play with the settings.

Waterproof: All Vanquish models have waterproof coils, but only the coil, the control box is definitely not … Thus you can’t submerge them underwater … However, the Nox 600 and 800 could be submerged underwater up to 10 feet … Thus you can do some underwater detection if you want to! Many other metal detectors do not have this feature, and it causes frustration when you dig for a few minutes only to find yet another crown cork. The detector may still struggle slightly in areas with saltwater. Saltwater is naturally conductive, and this is a single frequency metal detector. It will outperform many single frequency metal detectors in saltwater areas but may give more false readings than a pulse induction metal detector would. This gives you better target ID and discrimination at greater depth, and the versatility to perform in a wider range of ground types,The Minelab Vanquish 340 is the lowest priced model and has the fewest features. While still designed to be an all-terrain model, it does not have a pinpoint mode like the 540, it has fewer Find Modes than the 540. The Multi-IQ technology is only available to the 540 and the Equinox series, and no other machines possess this technology. Tesoro Silver Sabre microMAX w/6" Concentric coil which I grab when setting out for a day of hitting tot-lots and similar places. Minelab’s Vanquish 540 is the top dog in their new Vanquish series of metal detectors. Minelab has been an industry leader for the past 35 years, and decided it was time to make an entry level metal detector with great features at an affordable price. Vanquish 540 comes with Minelab’s state of the art detection technology, Multi-IQ. This is one of my favorite features on the Vanquish line of metal detectors. analasing the similarities and differences between them to get a clearer picture of what's really down there.

I personally feel that not many hobbyists understand the real added value of this series, especially that the company already offers the GO-FIND series and Equinox series! Both models cater to beginning or intermediate detectorists. Both have several built-in search modes making them simple to use. The Vanquish 540 does not feature ground balancing, but the Multi-IQ does compensate somewhat for this because of its changing frequencies. This is not as sophisticated as a dedicated ground balancing system, however, and you may notice some ground noise or missed targets with this system. Technical Reason: Before if you wanted to have a Minelab multi-frequency machine with Iron Bias feature you had to acquire an Equinox model which is not affordable by everybody! There is no need to learn the complexities of various settings, the hard work has been done for you. Turn on, select a mode, detect. Features Reverse the Arm Cup for storage and transport. Detect Modes In this Post I will provide you with all what you need to know about the Minelab VANQUISH Metal Detector series!Sensitivity: Instead of 4 levels, you’ve got in this one 10 levels … This will give you the possibility to be sensitive to even smaller targets. Frequencies Three: Low, Medium & high Simultaneously Noise Cancel Auto (19 Channels) Iron Bias High / Low Sensitivity Levels 10 Volume Levels 10 Target Tones 5 Target ID Range -9 to 40 Discrimination Segments 25 Depth Indicator Levels 5 Audio Output

Despite being a single frequency VLF machine, the Simplex+ does a great job in areas with high mineralization and saltwater. The Simplex+ is easy to use, very user friendly, rugged, completely submersible, and a fantastic price for such a great product. As more than one frequency is transmitted, received, and processed simultaneously, the detector can maintain target sensitivity across all target types and sizes while keeping ground noise to a minimum. Iron Bias: (High) This feature was first introduced in the Equinox Series and allows you to deal with situations when junk iron is close to an actual good non-ferrous target. In this case you have only the possibility to set Iron Bias to high which means that your machine will only focus on clean non-ferrous targets. You should walk slowly and smoothly with Vanquish 440, just like with all Minelab metal detectors. Hold the search coil 1 inch above the ground, and each wave of the coil should cover 1/3 of the previous one. A nice bonus is that you don’t have to take extremely small steps or bend over (it is quite annoying). I also really like the vibration target alert on the Simplex +. This is handy when you are metal detecting in an area that is populated and you either cannot hear your metal detector well, do not want to wear headphones (or it is dangerous to do so), or you simply do not want to draw too much attention to yourself or bother others with the constant beep of a metal detector. This feature is also handy when shallow diving without headphones. The vibration is easy to feel underwater and extremely helpful. It is also a good thing for those hard of hearing.
